A fan-made trailer forHarry Potter and the Cursed Childhas been going viral, and fans initially believed it was real. The execution and editing were definitely at par with the past official trailers.

The footage showedDaniel Radcliffe,Emma Watson, andRupert Grintgoing back to their respective roles. The voice-over stated:
“Dad, sometimes in my head, I see a graveyard and a whispering ark. It talks to me.”
The narration seemingly reveals the plot of the story. The young Potter attends Hogwarts and gets categorized as a Slytherin. In the edited trailer, something hinted at the return of Lord Voldemort. The children have gone missing, an indication that something evil is fast approaching.
“They disappear because something penetrates the past, or someone, whoever it could be, it manipulates the flow of the present.”
The trailer ended with a warning: “You should be afraid of the past,” which might serve as the central theme ofHarry Potter and the Cursed Child. The past will be haunting the characters, and they will have to find a way to combat this evil force.
Interestingly,J.K. Rowlingwas initially against the idea of creating moreHarry Potterstories. In her interview withCBS News, she revealed:
“I felt that I was done. Harry’s story now, I’m done. I’m done. I needed to be persuaded to do ‘19 years on,’ and I’m really glad I was persuaded… But no, we’re not going to see Albus’ son go to Hogwarts. Well, not on my watch. In 100 years time, I’ll come and haunt the person who does it.”

As she said, fans should not expect to see Albus Severus Potter’s son go to Hogwarts, which signals that Rowling might actually be done with the books.
Harry PotterTV Series Is On The Way
Warner Bros. Discovery announced that there will be an upcoming TV series based on the sevenHarry Potterbooks penned by Rowling, as reported byDeadline. Chairman and CEO of HBO & Max Content Casey Bloys said:
“This new Max Original series will dive deep into each of the iconic books that fans have continued to enjoy for all of these years.”
