Following her success in the Australian filmShame, Deborra-Lee Furness wanted to try her luck in Hollywood. Sadly, things in LA proved to be very different than she thought. The presently 68-year-old was frustrated by the business there and visited a fortune teller to get some uniformity in life.
This fortune teller suggested that Furness go to Australia. The fortune teller was certain that things would not only fall into place there but she would also find someone special to lead her life with.
I literally saw a fortune teller in LA. And I met with this woman. She said, ‘You have to go to Australia. Everything comes into place there and you’re going to meet someone and you have to go’.
Surprisingly, every word of the fortune teller turned out to be true as she started to get more projects. Soon, Deborra-Lee Furness got her hands on 1995’sCorrelli, a limited series withHugh Jackmanas her co-star. Furness added thattheX-Mensuperstar instantly attracted her.
