In a recent interview withYahoo, Jones revealed that he was approached by Shawn Levy to reprise the role inDeadpool & Wolverine. However, the actor had faced so much difficulty in putting on the suit when he didThe Last Standwhich had a toll on his mental and physical health.
He even had to drink water through a straw when he was shooting the film and he didn’t want to relive that horrible experience again. Thus, he rejected the offer to be in the newDeadpool film. He said,

“Funnily enough I just got asked to do Deadpool, the new one now, and I spoke to the director and I just said it’s such a drama putting that suit on mentally and physically. I mean it had its mental toll as well because you’re in it and you can’t do anything all day, you can only drink through a straw. So we couldn’t strike the deal for Deadpool.”
It would have been amazing to have Jones return as the character inDeadpool 3. However, it is understandable that the actor does it want to go through the tedious process with the Juggernaut suit again. Fans can watch him as the character inX-Men: The Last Standon Disney+.

Vinnie Jonesis currently gearing up for the release of Netflix’s seriesThe Gentlemen, which is a spin-off of his 2019 film of the same name. The actor is reuniting with Ritchie after more than 20 years since 2000’sSnatch. Jones recently spoke about his bond with the director and how they have come a long way over the years.

Jones stated that being directed by Ritchie is like being directed by a brother. They both had a great time reuniting and catching up while doing the series. He toldRadioTimes,
“Guy and myself have come a long, long way since the Lock, Stock, and Snatch days. I think he was warmed that I was on the set and I was warmed that we were reunited. I’d reunited with Matthew Vaughn a few years ago on Kingsman, so it was just wonderful.

It’s like your brother’s directing it and you’re in a movie, that’s kind of how it is, that’s really the best way to describe it. I’m working on my younger brother’s movie. You’re gonna do your best. But I think it was a big deal to everybody.”
