While PlayStation also has a similar subscription for gamers, it has not garnered as much popularity as its rival, both in terms of new titles offered and also in terms of subscription rates, comparatively. So when an opportunity presented itself to bring up the competitiveness between the two subscriptions, one of the official Xbox accounts on X did not miss the chance to throw shade on its rival.

Xbox Takes a Jab at PlayStation Over Yakuza Deals
TheYakuzafranchise started as a PlayStation (PS) and Wii exclusive with the first two titles. It wasn’t untilYakuza 3was released back in 2009 that the game also came to Windows and Xbox consoles. Some spin-offs were still made for PS Portable and PS 3.
Fans Divided Over Playing Games on Subscription and Owning Games
Single-player games usually get snatched when deals and sales are going on but gamers aren’t as patient to always wait for deals for fan-favorite titles like theYakuzatitles. While XGP gives an entire library to choose from, some gamers still prefer to own the titles to play them anytime they wish to, should they not be sure of finishing the titles soon.
While PlayStation consoles themselves have always edged way past its rival, and have also been preferred by gamers the most, Xbox has the edge when it comes to games. PS exclusives like theGod of Warfranchise,Unchartedtitles, and theSpider-Manfranchise recently have also been getting ported to PC with upgraded visuals and framerates.

TheYakuzatitles are also on PC and Xbox consoles so unless gamers only have access to a PS console, purchasing the titles makes sense only on such occasions when there are heavy deals. The next title in the franchise,Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, is coming out later this month and is not expected on either of the two subscriptions.
