He felt disappointed about Juggernaut’s role being shrunk in the past, so he wasn’t keen on going through that again. Even though he liked the idea of being in a Deadpool flick, the offer just didn’t cut it for him. The actor explained in the interview,
“Funnily enough I just got asked to do ‘Deadpool,’ the new one now, and I spoke to the director and I just said it’s such a drama putting that suit on mentally and physically. It had its mental toll as well because you’re in it and you can’t do anything all day, you can only drink through a straw. So we couldn’t strike the deal for ‘Deadpool [and Wolverine].”
With Jones bowing out, it throws an interesting wrench into the hype forRyan ReynoldsDeadpool 3. But it seems like Jones had his reasons, especially considering his not-so-great experience with theX-Men sequelback in 2006.

He played Juggernaut in the past, but he’s not making a comeback. In the same interview, Jones shared how his experience with the 2006X-Menmovie wasn’t what he hoped for. He was excited to work with director Matthew Vaughn, but Vaughn backed out, and things changed.
Jones felt let down when the new director, Brett Ratner, messed with his character’s lines. He didn’t feel the same excitement anymore, seeing his role get cut down while others got bigger. He said,
“The director brought in so many other moving parts… and mine was the [only] one that got diluted, the Juggernaut. It didn’t… you know, I lost all interest quite early, because I knew they were just ticking me along, you know what I mean? I was upset. I was very upset because it was such a [big] movie, such a big stage, and [I] became an extra. That’s what happened.”

Jones even explained how his famous line“I’m the juggernaut, b*tch!”in the movie wasn’t even originally there; it got added later because of something Ratner saw online. The artist explained,
“I was going in going, ‘Where’s all my dialogue? Where’s the storyline?’ Brett had different directors directing, and he would sit there as the big director. For me, it was a shamble. It was a shame… When it came out, I was upset… Very upset… My character got dumped on.”
Despite that moment, Jones felt really let down by how things turned out. It’s a real eye-opener to hear about Jones’ superhero movie journey.
