One of the biggest problems that fans of the MCU have been wondering about is how the superhero franchise plans to inject the mutants into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, given that Disney now has the rights to the characters that Fox Studios previously owned.

Magneto

There have been a slew of cameos from X-Men actors of the past, belonging to different universes than Earth 199999. Two characters that have distinctly received the mutant label are Namor and Kamala Khan. However, given that the multiverse will probably close up after the Saga ends, the MCU will be hard-pressed to introduce mutants of its own.

This poses a problem to some mutants who have been a part of major world events, such as Magneto. While there are a lot of theories about how the mutants will be integrated into the MCU, one theory has been so off the mark, that Marvel fans will rage at the mere thought of it.

The theory suggests that Mutants in the MCU should age at a slower rate than humans

While there are mutants like Wolverine and Namor who age slower than their fellow mutants, a theory has been concerned about how the Marvel Cineamtic Universe could keep the history of characters like Magneto intact. Eric Lehnsherr, who would later become Magneto, was a holocaust survivor who took up arms against anti-mutant propagandists after the death of his first wife and daughter.

Given that Magneto’s backstory must include his history in the Second World War, the MCU might have to bend over backward, given that the character would be over 100 years old in the current timeline of the story. The proposition that mutants at large could age slower in the MCU would be an odd way to keep the character’s story intact, given that it would raise a host of issues in regarding other characters.

Marvel could take the Crisis on Infinite Earth’s route for its mutants

Throughout the Multiverse Saga, the Avengers have been encountering the X-Men in different universes. The Fantastic Four will also appear in a separate universe of their own. These universes are expected to unite under a single banner to take on Doctor Doom or whoever the multiversal threat is inSecret Wars.

CW’s DC universe shared a similar issue when it had to depict Supergirl on a different dimension than Arrowverse, smelting them together after itsCrisismega-event.The MCU could also fuse the timelinesand universe across the Marvel Multiverse, such that the X-Men, The Fantastic Four, and The Avengers could live in the same timeline, with all their histories combined. This would allow Magneto to keep his WW2 history, while Captain America was active, alongside the likes of Wolverine and Sabretooth.
