While that was that, further scoops from insiders claimed that the plot might as well be expected to feature the titular character in an in-universe superhero film franchise.
Per@Exiledscoop3ron X, reports that followed in late August claimed that the plot would reportedly be about the stuntman cum aspiring actor Simon Williams, who gets his superpowers while shooting forWonder Man, an in-universe superhero film franchise. While he initially gets cast as the character, he is then forced to become the superhero in real life to promote the film.
According to the scooper,Yahya Abdul-Matten II‘s hero “hates it at first, but ends up becoming a proper superhero. By the end, it sets up Wonder Man as becoming one of the strongest Avengers even stronger then Captain Marvel. He was originally going to be very important in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. I assume that will still be the case in Avengers: Doomsday.”

If that wasn’t enough, further word on the street shared by@mainmiddlemanon X is ostensibly confirming that the plot could be expected to circle similar themes. Per this source, the miniseries will have the actor play “a twisted version of himself—a meta take like we’ve never seen in the MCU.” While that’s exciting, details of this rumored plot take things to a different level.
Asper the details, Abdul-Mateen II persistently auditions for roles in the MCU but is met with rejection after rejection. Every shut down leads him to try harder and more desperately, with him eventually finding himself sneaking into the Marvel Studios “in a last-ditch attempt to prove himself.” Here, he stumbles upon K.E.V.I.N., the AI fromShe-Hulk: Attorney at Law.
Inadvertently, he ends up discovering “massive MCU secrets,” but also ends up trapped inside the MCU itself since K.E.V.I.N. won’t let him walk away with all that knowledge. From this part onwards, Abdul-Mateen II supposedly no longer remains an actor auditioning for a role but becomesa part of the MCU itself, reportedly leading to the series spiraling down a wild ride.
“Knowing he’s ‘stuck’, Yahya [the character] starts messing with the MCU’s reality—manipulating storylines, creating chaotic situations, and even giving himself superpowers to become the hero he’s always dreamed of playing. Now, instead of being cast as a hero, he’s trying to become one within the universe,” the source continued to claim about the plot of the miniseries.
