Daredevil: Born Againhas finally released its first teaser, giving fans a taste of the violent TV-MA rating that the show is set to boast this March. While fans are excited about what the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen has to offer in his new capacity, some are wondering why this treatment was not given to other street-level characters who deserve it.

However, given the violent imagery that audiences were made privy to through the trailer, fans have been wondering if such a thing was possible, and why it was not given to a different vigilante who could have benefitted from it a lot. AsDaredevil: Born Againgears up for a spring release, there are few who are asking why a similar treatment could not have been given to Moon Knight.
Moon Knight might seem tame compared to Daredevil after Born Again hits streaming
In Marvel Comics, there is a slew of street-level vigilantes that have a very notorious reputation for being some of the most violent heroes in he MCU. Daredevil, The Punisher, Wolverine, and such all come to mind, but there is one character that is so violent that even a dangerous villain like Taskmaster would want to stay away from him.
“Sesame Street is more brutal”: First Trailer of ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Is Assuring, But Don’t Forget ‘Moon Knight’ Baited Us All With a Single Scene
In one of the more recent runs of Moon Knight, when The Tutor (a vampire) tried to place a hit on Moon Knight via The Taskmaster, the famed hitman said that he would rather take on Captain America, Daredevil, and The Punisher. However, by the looks of it, it seems that the MCU will probably have a more violent Daredevil as compared to Moon Knight, who could have greatly benefitted from a TV-MA rating but was stuck having almost the same tone as the rest of the MCU.
Fans agree that Moon Knight needs to be a little more violent
Oscar Isaac’s iteration of Moon Knight might have been very accurate when it comes to the mental health side of things, which has received a lot of praise from fans. However, fans are wondering what is taking Marvel so long to greenlight an R-ratedMoon Knightproject, which would fit the character better than anything else.
This pisses me off a little bc why wasn’t Moon Knight doing this shithttps://t.co/dNobtc5WUO

Lessons learned hopefully
because that was before they allowed mature content on Disney+

I don’t think they had committed fully to the M rated content yet ! If moon knight happened now tho it would be a different story ! We wouldn’t have all those stupid black out scenes ! 1 was fun but they got so stupid especially in the finale ! Such a let down
Marvel Spotlight has promised more mature content, which would be best for characters like Daredevil and Moon Knight, given that these characters would make the best of the TV-MA rating for Marvel. As the MCU ventures into R-rated content with the likes ofDeadpool & WolverineandDaredevil: Born Again, the MCU might be expanding in earnest to include more stories that cater to its adult fan base, which has managed to work well for the franchise so far.

Daredevil: Born Againwill begin streaming on July 18, 2025.
