Unlike all otherMoon Knightepisodes, the new one was a bit different. As usual, Marc and Steven jangled a lot, even more than they used to, but their quarrel made them realize that they are one being after all. As a result, they start to care for each other. It came as a surprise for the fans as well to see Marc and Steven having each other’s back, but to reach this point, they both had to face some bitter truths.
One such truth was about the Raul Bushman, Marc’s Spectre’s former partner, who turned against him. He can be blamed as the one because of whom Marc had to deal with Knonshu and get the powers ofMoon Knight. So let’s know everything we know about him.
Raul Bushman In Moon Knight Explained
Bushman was a former United States Marine and a mercenary who used to work with Marc Spectre. Despite being partners, Raul and Marc were never really close. In fact, Raul would often turn up against Marc. When a group of mercenaries was sent to a dig site in Egypt, that’s when Raul revealed his true face. Out of greed, Bushman assassinated all the archeologists at the site, including Layla’s father, Abdallah El-Faouly. When Marc stood up against him, Bushman shot him and escaped, leaving Marc alone to die. That’s when Khonshu appeared for the first time and offered him to become his servant,Moon Knight.
Raul was born in an African country Burundi where he had to face hardships since childhood. Watching himself and his family suffer, Raul chooses the path of violence and starts to work as a mercenary. His appearance could frighten even the bravest men. Bushman has a scary facial tattoo and jaws with teeth of steel.
After realizing that Marc got the powers of Khonshu and becameMoon Knight, Raul starts to feel jealous and usually tries to make attempts to harm him. Later in his life, Raul even conquers his own nation, Burundi, and sets up a vast drug empire there. Raul Bushman is not yet dead in the comics, and he might appear in theMoon Knightseries later on as well.
