Milton. Ring a bell? Well, it’s understandable even if it doesn’t, considering how“it’s not a very common name!”(Yes, Idomean it in the exact same manner as Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn did inThe Suicide Squad.) Still, this was the name of who might as well have been, perhaps, the most tragic character of the 2021 masterpiece: The bus driver.

Of course, back then, this name generated quite a lot of emotions from fans as a lot of the anti-heroes from the squad were shown to be troubled and confused with this respective DC character from the film. But while Robbie’s Quinn was one of the many who failed to acknowledge Milton, this titular name is coming back to haunt fans in many different ways.
Milton, Milton, Milton: From the DCU Chaos to the Real Life One
In 2021’s masterpieceThe Suicide Squad, a rather mysterious character made his way into the middle of Task Force X and brought about a whole new level of emotions into the saga. This character was the bus driver, Milton, the Corto Maltese resident. Despite not being well-equipped to fight a war or even being a soldier, he decided to help out the squad on their mission of Project Starfish.
And yet, his character was anything but acknowledged by the main cast, with the only exception of the one who genuinely took note of his presence beingDavid Dastmalchian‘s Polka-Dot Man. Perhaps the most tragic character, he didn’t fit in with the Task Force’s rendezvous, and yet, stayed dedicated and loyal to his duty and the squad until he got shot and killed during a firefight.

What made his presence even more troublesome was that, even after his death, no one acknowledged his presence or his efforts but Polka-Dot Man.

In fact, when Dastmalchian’s character points out about him,Margot Robbie‘s Harley Quinn’s honest response is:“Who’s Milton? I don’t remember any Milton.”
Even when Polka-Dot Man points out that he had been with them the whole time, Quinn’s response is,“Somebody named Milton has been with us the whole time? I don’t think so. I think I would have noticed if a guy named Milton was with us. It’s not a very common name!”After looking at who he was talking about, she says,“Oh, that guy!MiltonMilton.”

Effortlessly enough, not getting the recognition he deserved from the team even after his death despite all the bravery and boldness he depicted was truly heartbreaking for the respective character. But the recent turn of real-life events seems to be showing thatRobbie’s Quinnwasn’t the only one who was troubled by this name, as Florida residents get prepared to deal with the same.
This comes amidst reports that the Milton hurricane is about to hit Florida. To say the least, the residents have already been given a high alert of evacuation as the destructive hurricane nears the city. That said, fans have taken this very name and connected the dots with its iconic representation in the DC Universe in the most creative manner possible.

Amidst the whirlwind, creativity and community shine, reminding us that even in turmoil, pop culture connections can really bring us together in the most unexpected ways possible.
