As a result, people, with equal parts excitement and confusion, thought the skeletal figure to be the Oscar winner. An art dealer, a model, and a relative newcomer in the industry, with28 Years Laterpresumably being his first stint on the big screen.

28 Years Later trailer reportedly launches new comer Angus Neill in a terrifying scene

The trailer for the much-anticipated thriller28 Years Laterdropped earlier this week. The third installment in the series is supposed to delve into society with the surge of infections now ongoing for 28 years. While showing the picture of a society that has been pushed back to almost its primitive state, due to the constant threats to survival, a specific shot caught the attention of netizens.

As mentioned above, the scene showed an“emaciated infected”raising its body from ground up slowly. The scene does a terrific job of putting people on edge, especially with Rudyard Kipling’sBootsbeing masterfully narrated in the background.

Danny told me he’d always had me in mind for the role. So we met up, hit it off, and I agreed to take part.

He seems to have had quite a time working on the film, the end result of which, people will have to wait a few months to see. The model also praised Danny Boyle by saying,

On set he has an extraordinary ability to hypnotise you, and working with him on the film was a very, very intense experience.

Their models have been known to previously work in a lot of big budget franchise movies likeJames Bond,Pirates of the Caribbean, andHarry Potter. Now because of Angus Neill’s appearance in the28 Years Latermovie, another jewel has been added to their crown.

Cillian Murphy can still feature in28 Years Later

The first two movies,28 Days Later, and28 Weeks Laterhighlighted the same theme in their own rights.Cillian Murphystarred as the protagonist, Jim, in the first movie and has since stated his wish to return for the third.

This is possibly why the appearance of the skeletal figure sparked the rumors of it being Murphy, especially with the high cheekbones, which he sported inOppenheimer. He also famously said in an interview withThe Independentthat he’ll be there when the new movie comes around.

I would be there in a flash. I made two movies with both of those guys, and I would love to work with them again. Of course, I’m there.

This was enough to send people looking at every nuke and cranny in the 2 minutes and 13 seconds long trailer to catch a glimpse of thePeaky Blindersstar. Which they initially concluded that they got by mistaking the“emaciated infected”,played by Angus Neill to be Cillian Murphy. A lot of people were a little disheartened, although appreciative of Neill’s work, that Murphy wasn’t shown in the trailer.
