In a recent interview withPolygon, directorWes Balltalked about his upcomingThe Legend of Zeldamovie. Ball gave fans an update on the movie, adding that he isn’t allowed to reveal much,
“We’re working hard, and we’re gonna make something great – Nintendo will pop out of the bushes here and like yank me away.”
Ball also explained that the decision to make the movie entirely motion-captured was not his decision, but rather something that had to be done to keep the movie “grounded” and “real.”

In November 2023, Deadline confirmed that a live-actionThe Legend of Zeldamovie is in the works with Wes Ball as the director andfinancing from Nintendo.
