These insults to the player base were, as anticipated, met with a lot of backlash from the community, and the behavior was deemed unacceptable. Many netizens active on the platforms even called for thefiringof their respective employees, prompting the CEO of Arrowhead Games Studio to step in and take control.

The head of the game’s studio, Johan Pilestedt, is one of the most active members of the studio who interacts with fans on the internet regularly. Replying to one of the posts onReddit, he disclosed how as a member of the communication department, he encourages the developers to engage with the community often.
He further states how this behavior was not intentional, to begin with, and they ensure everyone would continue to have a great time within the community.

While replying to anotherpost, Pilestedt mentioned:
“We are aware of this and have taken action internally to educate our developers on how to represent the organization. This is not a message that the studio stands behind. We are always working to make as an enjoyable experience and community that we can.“
The CEO essentially takes responsibility for taking the appropriate actions with the responsible developers and making sure that the team keeps working towards delivering an enjoyable time to the players of the game and those who participate within the community.
The behavior of the developers was soon followed up with anapologywhich included them taking responsibility for their actions and how they would be attempting to once again gain respect from the community again.Helldivers 2is available to purchase onSteam.
