While it doesn’t seem like we’re getting a newDead or Alivefighting game anytime soon, KOEI Tecmo hasn’t forgotten about the franchise. On the contrary, a new game based on the brand is set to be released soon, and it’s Venus Vacation PRISM Dead or Alive Xtreme.
Venus Vacation PRISM Dead or Alive Xtreme is an “immersive romance adventure game” where players can go on romantic encounters with six girls. It’s a dating sim, in short, and it’s a spin-off of Dead or Alive Xtreme Venus Vacation.

In a recent YouTube interview, Amouranth shared a few tidbits about her dating preferences.
According to KOEI Tecmo (viaGematsu), Venus Vacation PRISM will be getting a slight delay from its original release date of March 6, to the new one of March 27 in Japan and Asia.
While there is no official US version of the game, the Asian version, which the official website calls the “Global Version,” will support the English language (alongside Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese). Meanwhile, the Japanese version will only support Japanese as a language option.
Yasunori Sakuda, producer of the game, explained the delay, stating, “We have been preparing to deliver the first immersive romantic adventure game in the franchise with high quality that will satisfy everyone. However, in order to provide the best possible experience with the Venuses, we have decided that we need to increase the volume of the game by adding more episodes and improving the quality without compromise. Although we are already working on these measures and are close to completion, we have decided to change the release date as announced. We sincerely apologize.”

If you’re curious about the game, KOEI Tecmo calls it, “The first ever full-fledged romance game in the “DEAD OR ALIVE Xtreme” series, offering romantic encounters with six cute, charming girls!”
Players can expect a “true romance and a thrilling sense of closeness” when playing the game.. The premise, according to the publisher, “As the boss on the Venus Islands, where summer is everlasting, you will interact with the girls you encounter there. Your story with the girls will unfold based on the choices you make, resulting in a variety of outcomes. The heart-fluttering sensation caused by casual gestures, the thrill felt as you draw closer to your love interest, the worry about which girl to choose… Are you ready to experience true romance on the islands of everlasting summer?”
There is no word yet on whether we’ll be getting a proper US release for the game. Given that dating sims aren’t really big in the US, don’t expect it. However, the Asian version should do the trick, given that it features English language support.
