Drakenhold’s Journal is quite hard to find and can be easily missed if you’re not extremely thorough in your search. This guide covers the Journal’s location and the locations of all the carvings in Drakenhold to solve the puzzle and obtain the reward.

Where To Find Drakenhold Journal
The Drakenhold Journal is calledFaded Journal 4and can be found in anunmarked ruin in the desert in the southern part of Drakenhold. The location is marked in the screenshot above. The ruins are locatedjust south of Bandip’s Keep, by a mountain facing the beach. Interact with it to get the Faded Journal 4.
You’ll need to complete ‘Beyond The Swirling Sands’ side quest to be able to visit these ruins.
All Drakenhold Carving Locations
After you’ve found the Faded Journal 4, you can then complete the ‘Carved of Drakenhold Stone’ quest by interacting with carvings in Drakenhold as dictated by the Journal. You can find the order of the carvings by reading the quest’s journal entry:Scorpion, Reaper, Cockatrice, and Wyvern.

Scorpion Carving
Near the pond just west of the Drakenhold Quarry.
Reaper Carving
Past the broken bridge just north of Ompalast Town. You’ll need 30 Dracia Lumber to repair the bridge before you’re able to reach this carving.
Cockatrice Carving
West of Ganrafeldt Town, facing the southern coast of Drakenhold.
Wyvern Carving
East of Schwieger Town in northeastern Drakenhold. You’ll need to liberate Caste Soldraga withPrince Gilbertbefore this area becomes available.
Dracia Lumber - and other Drakenhold resources - can be obtained by stationing guards in Drakenhold. This will passively increase your stash of Drakenhold-specific esources everytime you complete a mission.
Carved of Drakenhold Stone Quest Reward
Interacting with the last carving - Wyvern - will complete the side quest, and you’ll gain the following rewards
Kingsaxe Drakenash is an insanely powerful battleaxe with a base power of25 Physical attack. Fran,Berengaria, and Celeste can all gain a massive DPS boost by equipping this weapon if you’re able to get it early.
