In recent years, several manga endings have left their fan bases divided and unsatisfied. While it’s more based on subjective taste, the collective disappointment is noticeable in the reputation of these manga, particularlyJujutsu Kaisen, which has almost unanimously received negative criticism.

Attack on Titan’sending, on the other hand, is the tougher nut to crack. With an already complex narrative, it’s hard to confirm the ending was terrible but it was definitely rushed and lacked any emotional depth.
Several fans couldn’t enjoy it for that fact itself. These two manga are the most notorious since they were massively successful in the past and ended in the most underwhelming way possible.

On 26 June 2025, the manga forUndead Unluckended and fans are incredibly pleased. They bid goodbye to the story happily, despite the rushed ending, defying expectations for a terrible ending to befall them as well.

It follows Fuuko Izumo, an 18-year-old girl, who is cursed with the ability called Unluck to bring incredible bad luck to anyone who touches her. She meets Andy, an “undead” man, basically meaning immortal, desperate to find a way to die. Both of them embody the titleUndead Unluck.
They become an unlikely duo, which is a tale as old as time, but with Andy’s immortality and Fuuko’s suicidal mindset, it’s even more bizarre. They join an organization called the Union to fight against supernatural threats with their unique abilities aiding them.

Undead Unluckexplores romance, horror, and comedy all in one. Andy’s eccentric personality might be the highlight of it but so are the surprisingly emotional arcs they all go through. Yoshifumi Tozuka mastered all genres with just one manga.

Manga endings tend to falter due to unresolved plot points, character arcs, and uncharacteristic actions that dishonor the themes. WhileUndead Unluckdid have severely rushed fights, it did not fail to forget the narrative it was telling.
Andy and Fuuko’s journey together was always the heart and core ofUndead Unluck. The ending gave them the resolution they deserved, and people who vehemently shipped them were definitely celebrating.

The sole criticism, as mentioned before, was the rushed pacing of the fights and how it could’ve used at least 3 more chapters to tie it together. However, fans still enjoyed it and got a reward at the end of Andy and Fuuko’s romance.
The final fights felt a bit rushed, but my god did I still enjoy them. Ending is still good imo
Jujutsu Kaisenfailedto uphold the essence of its story when Yuji, even after being tormented heavily by Sukuna, offered the King of Curses a second chance. In the dark worldGege Akutamibuilt, none of the characters would even think of doing this.
