Just in caseone long-awaited release datewasn’t enough for today, Battlestate Games has another one for us.
We’ve known for a while that the final 1.0 release ofEscape from Tarkovis imminent, withBattlestate Games themselves recently teasingthat it’s “coming soon.”

The ill-fated hardcore wipe was also intended to be the one last big updatebefore the final release date.
Now, thanks to a social mediapostfrom Battlestate Games studio head Nikita Buyanov and a newtrailer, we know that date to be June 05, 2025.

Is The Game Ready For Its Full Release?
The response from the community has been mixed, with some understandably excited about the 8-year early access period coming to an end, while others are more cautious due to the somewhat questionable state of the game lately.
Aside from the expected problems related to bugs and optimization, this is especially true following the aforementioned hardcore wipe, which the developers intended to prepare players for their vision for 1.0.
Things were rough for playerswhen the hardcore wipe first launched, although at least some of those growing pains have since been addressed.
Other changes introduced in the hardcore wipe have also beenwalked back or otherwise tweakeddue to negative feedback from fans, including the particularly controversial change to map selection and the transit system.
The game hasalso struggled with cheaters, especially recently.
That being said, the game has seen plenty of updates since the launch of the hardcore wipe and its issues came to light, hopefully able to deal with the various bugs and properly prepare for the final launch.
In the end, even if some in the community have been calling for fixes before the game is ready for its final release, most of the responses, especially in the comments of the trailer, seem to be hyped or at least cautiously optimistic for the long-awaited version 1.0 launch and the end of a beta test period that’s been dragging on since 2018.
Hopefully the game will be able to live up to expectations with its final release in November and continue the success it’s been seeing throughout its time in early access.
