Dune franchise has been a dream come true project for the actor. But nothing goes easy on set, especially in a Villeneuve film. Chalamet revealed that the incredible Sandworm riding scene was as difficult to shoot as it appeared to ride the giant sand creatures in the movie.“That was the most complicated sequence I’ve ever been a part of as an actor,”Chalamet explained (viaMovieZine).
“Uh I think it took around 3 months to shoot and there was an entire unit dedicated to that sequence. Uh, worked with Roger Yuan who’s a stunt coordinator on this movie, he’s also an actor in the film. He does an amazing fight with a Feyd-Rautha, and worked on the technique of the of the Sandworm riding and without giving away too much of what goes on in the kitchen as Denis puts it, there, there was sand blowing in the face and an industrial rig, and it was as violent an experience as it appears in the movie you know.”
