Tim Burton’s movies are usually made with much love, care, and attention to detail which several directors do not usually show. However, his latest flick may have made a complete mess of things.

Ghouls, long faces, comedy, and equal amounts of horror usually create a Tim Burton film. His latest flickBeetlejuice Beetlejuice(or simplyBeetlejuice 2) was a chaotic mess of all of these things, but somewhere, something was missing.
Tim Burton Failed To Explain One Thing inBeetlejuice 2
It was 1988 whenTim Burtonreleased the iconic filmBeetlejuice.Starring Michael Keaton in the role of Beetlejuice alongside Winona Ryder as Lydia Deetz and several others.
Although it took several years, the world eventually got a sequel to this highly acclaimed movie in 2024 with some original characters returning for the show. Director Tim Burton once again took the director’s seat to helm the project, and he wasn’t alone.

Joining him for the ride wasMichael Keatonand Winona Ryder who reprised their role in the 2024 movie. Although there were several characters reprising their original role, some were replaced for no reason whatsoever. In 1988, the end ofBeetlejuicesaw Betlegeuse marrying Lydia and the marriage was presided over by a mysterious figure from the afterlife.
This “wedding preacher” was not human and had an alien-like skull on a short body. In promotional material, he was referred to as “Judge Skullface”. This character was replaced by Father Damien. Although there were no reasons given for this replacement, it seems that Tim Burton didn’t really want to explain who this “Judge Skullface” was and how did a creature like him end up in the netherrealm.

If Burton could have shown Judge Skullface only for a short moment, it could have easily set up the story forBeetlejuice 3. Fans would have surely loved a continued watching of the story of Betelgeuse and Lydia alongside the backstory of Judge Skullface. However, it seems that Tim Burton has already made a mind of his own.
Is Tim Burton Ready For Beetlejuice 3?
“Yeah, I mean,”said Tim Burton when he was asked about any plans forBeetlejuice 3.Before you start celebrating, that’s not the complete sentence. There are no plans forBeetlejuice 3as of now.
During a press event (via/Film), veteran director Tim Burton was asked a question about any plans forBeetlejuice 3.Although the director had a lot to say about his work, it all came down to this:

Yeah, I mean, they talk, whatever, but if it follows the model now, I’d be making that when I’d be over 100 [years old], and it’s possible, but I don’t know. [laughs] With medical science these days, I don’t know.
He continued,

But no, I mean, like I said, for me, I wasn’t really personally interested — if you said it to me, I would run the other direction. This is one where it was something that caught my thing. Now, would something else hit? I don’t know.
Well, it seems that the world will not see much of Betelgeuse and Beetlejuice for quite a few years. Nevertheless, fans hope that Tim Burtoncould see the potential of a movie like thisand continue to entertain the world.
