NCSoft, the developer team behind the upcoming RPG Throne and Liberty, has revealed its next project for PC and mobile platforms, entitled Project G. It is a brand new real-time strategy being developed in Unreal Engine. A firm release date for Project G has yet to be confirmed.

Project G is based on large-scale wars, similar to those seen in the Total War series, and looks to be made in colorful fantasy settings with sci-fi elements. The game takes place on the continent of Pangea, where players will decimate hordes of enemies in real-time combat encounters. As seen in the trailer, Project G promises different races and a wide variety of units to create large-scale armies. NCSoft hasn’t revealed details yet, but Project G could be the studio’s second game that is on track for a 2023 release alongside Throne and Liberty.

Though the gameplay is similar to classic RTS games, Project G is an MMO title that emphasizes fantasy elements like dragons, monsters, advanced buildings, and civilizations. Other than that, the combat looks fast-paced and easy to understand. Players must develop their land while gathering residents and constructing buildings. They will assemble an army to defeat dragons, enemy troops, and monsters that wreak havoc on the continent. In addition, the game will implement a guild system that will fight for territories filled with resources.

NCSoft is a South Korean studio best known as the publisher of Blade and Soul, Lineage 2, and the Guild Wars games. The company recentlyannounced an agreement with Amazon Gamesto publish Throne and Liberty for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC in Europe, North America, South America, and Japan. It was also revealed that the game will support cross-platform play.

Players can expect Project G to offer a wide variety of units and buildings to create a civilization, which can be the rightful ruler of the continent. They will sometimes gather allies and prepare for battles to come. The gameplay is not all about winning and losing though, as players will back down to keep casualties at a minimum. Project G will release for both PC and mobile at a yet-to-be-confirmed date.
