The creators of the iconic fantasy drama series,Game of Thronesare all set to make their comeback in the upcoming Netflix science-fiction series,3 Body Problem. David Benioff and Dan Weiss are making their comeback to direct another book-based fantasy series. However, hopefully, this time they will come up with a better ending that was seen in their Magnus Opus,Game of Thrones.

Alexander Woo was chosen as the third showrunner for3 Body Problem
3 Body Problemwill be based on the book trilogy,Remembrance of Earth’s Pastby Liu Cixin which originally came out in China back in 2008. After the book series was translated into English, its popularity increased a lot over the world and was read and appreciated by even the biggest influential people in the world like Mark Zuckerberg, and Barrack Obama.
to efficiently incorporate the Chinese origins of the books into the novels, David Benioff and Dan Weiss decided to get another showrunner for the series. It was Alexander Woo who was eventually chosen for the task. In a recent interview withThe Hollywood Reporter, Woo opened up about being selected as the showrunner of3 Body Problemand revealed he can kind of relate to that. He said,
“One thing that really attracted me as someone who’s Chinese American, as opposed to Chinese from China, is that I’m the child of immigrants, and this is kind of an immigrant story. The aliens are looking for a safer place to live, and the people who live there don’t want them.”

Alexander Woo opens up about working alongside the creators ofGame of Thrones
Alexander Woo further opened up about working with David Benioff and Dan Weiss on3 Body Problem.He revealed that before he joined the duo for filming, he actually had a word with a person they had already worked with before. Woo revealed that he had talked with the co-executive producer ofGame of Thrones, Bryan Cogman. He said,
“Bryan said, ‘You won’t find a single person who worked on Game of Thrones with a single bad thing to say about either of them. They’re genuinely great, decent people.’”

According to sources, a lot of actors fromGame of Throneslike Liam Cunningham, John Bradley, and Jonathan Pryce have already confirmed their roles in3 Body Problem.The series is all set to be released on Netflix later this year on March 21.
