While many would argue that FromSoftware’s latest release ofElden Ringshould be considered the peak of his entire career, some would beg to differ. Revisiting the renowned director’s experience when he was in the process of makingBloodborneshould be enough for one to realize how the PlayStation exclusive is potentially the highlight of his journey.

WhyBloodborneShould Be Considered The Highlight Of Hidetaka Miyazaki’s Career

It goes without saying howElden Ringand other Soulsborne games have played a huge role in making Hidetaka Miyazaki what he is today. However,Bloodborne, a game that came out in 2015 and stays exclusive to Sony’s PlayStation is truly where the director was able to have a more graphic approach to the storyline along with an aggressive and quick-paced combat system. Talking about how he achieved the same, the director in an interview viaIGNrevealed:

“There are two reasons for this. I wanted to differentiate from the previous series and I wanted to consider the hunt your nightmare theme. Considering the hunt your nightmare theme and the massive challenges in the game, adding the speed element and proactive battles, I thought this was a better match for Bloodborne. I felt that by adding the faster paced proactive combat players would gain a sense of accomplishment by overcoming those battles.”

The director talks about how he wanted to make the title unique and decided to combine it with a video game that has a theme revolving around the Hunt Your Nightmare theme. He mentioned how he felt adding the element of speed and faster-paced battles was a good match for the game, and thus, implemented it.

Unfortunately, despite being one of the best titlesHidetaka Miyazakihas ever produced, the studio has yet to announce any plans for a potential sequel or even a remake of the game. This has now prompted fans to steer their focus towards an upcomingspin-off of the game, which has distinguished itself just enough to save the creator from legal troubles.
