The adrenaline-inducing fights are a key aspect that makesNarutoso enjoyable for fans. We caught a glimpse of the exciting fights fairly early on in the series. Moreover, the original series was on a different level altogether when it came to fights. Within the Chunin Exam arc, there were several face-offs between the young characters that fans still love to reminisce about to this day. Among a line-up of so many interesting match-ups, the bad ones stick out like a sore thumb.

Sakura and Ino punch each others face in Naruto anime

As one of the main characters of the series, fans believed that any spars involving Sakura should be interesting. That didn’t turn out to be the case when the character was matched up against her long-time rival, Ino Yamanaka. The match-up between Ino and Sakura was believed to be the worst, until fans pointed out another fight that was much worse.

Fans Point Out ANarutoFight Worse than Ino vs. Sakura

From an unsatisfying conclusion to the lack of interesting attacks, there were many ways in which the fight between Ino and Sakura was lacking. However, what hurt the most was how much potential both characters had. Sakura was textbook smart and the fight could have acted as a wake-up call for her. She needed to improve to match the strength of her peers.

Similarly, Ino’s Mind-Body Control was a great technique and she nearly defeated Sakura with it. Additionally, the fight was stretched out with flashbacks, only for it to conclude with a tie. The conclusion should’ve lived up to the effort both the characters put into the fight, especially Ino. As lackluster as that sounds, there was a fight that surpassed the Sakura-Ino blunder by pitting Temari and Tenten against one another.

Tenten was fighting a losing battle against Temari; irrespective of what she summoned, her opponent’s attacks were straight out of her worst nightmares. Furthermore, Temari was ruthless. Even though she knew she had the upper hand, she was merciless and attacked Tenten even after she had already lost.

Tenten deserved better than that. Her unfair treatment is another proof thatMasashi Kishimotodoesn’t have any idea how to utilize the potential of the female characters inNaruto.

Female Characters Rank Last on Kishimoto’s Priority List

Tenten was on the same team as Lee and Neji. Just like them, she trained under Guy. Despite having the same experiences, she significantly lacked in terms of strength. In the manga, Kishimoto didn’t even explore the fight or Tenten’s potential. Compared to how strong Lee and Neji were, Tenten was put on the back burner.

The Ino-Sakura fight and Tenten’s mistreatment once again reminded us that female characters were always Kishimoto’s last priority. Coincidentally, all the bad fights of Chunin Exams were centered around the female characters.

From the moment Tenten was matched up against Temari, the outcome was decided. However, we could’ve gotten a few scenes where she made an attempt to overcome her weakness. Her predetermined loss could have been handled better. While Kishimoto played out most of that fight offscreen, the anime showed it but it didn’t help Tenten’s case at all.

Masashi Kishimoto’s Biggest Weakness Was Actually Naruto’s Best Feature Despite His Remarks: ‘I avoided depicting it’

Instances like these make one wonder how a character like Tsunade exists in the Narutoverse. This is one major criticism that weighs Kishimoto down significantly. Hopefully, in his future endeavors, Kishimoto will be more attentive towards female characters, to avoid whatever happened with Tenten.
