Witcherfans will already know that season 2 of Netflix’sÂThe WitcherÂhas started production, which will hopefully release sometime this year, but there’s more Witcher-related content on the horizon if you just can’t get enough of it, and who could blame you.The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, an anime spin-off series, seems to have had its runtime revealed on Netflix. The popular streaming platform’s placeholder page for the movie shows its duration is set at 1 hour and 21 minutes long. Unfortunately, if you’re wanting to spend that time drolling over Geralt of Rivia or Yennefer, the anime spinoff will be focusing its attention on Vesemir, Geralt’s mentor.

Redanian Intelligence, who know everything Witcher-related, have shared on Twitter an image of the Portuguese Netflix page with the caption “Thanks to @Medievilpt who caught this, we now know the length of ‘The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf’ 2D anime film, written by @BeauDeMayo”

In charge of the animated series is theÂWitcherteam Lauren S. Hissrich and Beau DeMayo and animating the show itself is Studio Mir, behindLegend of Korra andÂVoltron: Legendary Defender. We do know the show is set before Geralt became the monster slayer he is now and will focus more on Vesemir during his period on what he got up to and also how he actually became a Witcher. The Witcher: Blood Origin,Âthe prequel series which was announced back in July, is set to become even bigger with theÂintroduction of a group of talented writers known for a wide range of works ranging fromÂSwamp Thing, Carnival Row, Moon Knight, Snowpiercer, Mandy, Iron Fist, and many more. According to Redanian Intelligence, Netflix isÂlooking to castÂAquaman andÂGame of Thrones star Jason Momoa as the lead character inÂThe Witcher: Blood Origin.

Hopefully, we will get more information onThe Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolfthat will include an actual release date but like so many TV shows and movies right now, the pandemic has made planning anything a hell of a lot of hassle.
