As a consequence, the development team also got laid off on August 12, 2025. This title was set to carry forward the legacy of the original series, but it was essentially not a direct sequel toFallout 2.

Details About the Project

The project is going to be a“retro-futurism meets Mad Max”post-apocalyptic style of the first and second games in fully three-dimensional environments. However, this RPG is going to use the revised version of the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. system, which was used in the first and second games. The revised system was designed mostly by J.E. Sawyer, which will bring a more systematic and robust approach to the game.

The game will feature both combat systems: real-time with pause and turn-based. It is important to remember that this game is in no way affiliated with or connected with Bethesda.

However, there have been no solid dates revealed on the website as to when the game will launch. But according to the website, despite being in its initial stage of development, the project went through an extensive pre-production process, and thus most of the designs were already ready even before its implementation.

Now, it’s up to Lacko to complete the unfulfilled dream of the original studio.
