Tite Kubo’sBleachfirst aired in 2004, which became a fan-favorite series that has grown to be one of the most popular Shonen series. The series flaunts an exceptional set of characters carefully honed to perfection with well-built arcs that go perfectly with the storyline of the show.

Bleach is considered to be worst series among The Big Three

The title was a part of an elusive group that also featured two of the other great series, that is,NarutoandOne Piece.Though not as popular as the other two shows, the show is often considered to be the black sheep that has kept its fans entertained.

Hence, the show holds up even in 2024, despite featuring a subpar ending that could have been more enticing. The show has once again become a popular name, as Thousand-Year Blood War has been quite a watch. However, Kubo-Sensei wishes to remake his stellar work, but only if the studio would follow his one condition.

Tite Kubo Has One Condition To Remake His Magnum Opus

There’s no doubt thatBleachhas been one of the most popular series that has taken the anime and manga industry to a whole new level. The title has aged fairly well, as fans would often return to the series, which was once considered to be a golden age of anime.

However, the series could not maintain consistency because they did not look at the title as a story but as a cash cow. Hence, they decided to deviate from the source material and ruin the essence of the story that Kubo-Sensei took great pride in.

After so many years, the title has regained popularity asThousand-Year Blood War,which has kept the fans entertained. However, the mangaka has not given up on the idea of cementing a better legacy for his original series, which has currently been labeled as the worst series in The Big Three.

In his blog viaComicbook.com,Tite Kuboopened up about the legacy of the original series and expressed that he would like a remake of the work, stating,“I’d like to make that happen.”However, he had a strict condition for an adaptation that“faithfully follows the original work.”

While there have been no names following the idea, Ufotable would be the best candidate among the lot, for they have built the reputation of being respectful to the mangaka’s vision.

Ufotable is The Ideal Option For theBleachRemake

Over the last two decades, a ton of animation studios have emerged that have made a name for themselves in the anime industry. However, Ufotable is in a league of its own; the studio has set standards high for its competitors.

The studio was established back in 2000; the unique idea of blending 2D and 3D animation as experimentation led to the creation of never-before-seen digital effects that were a treat to the eyes. The studio featured rich animation as well as aesthetics that add heavily to the story-rich anime series.

The studio has animated projects likeGod Eaters, The Garden of Sinners, Fate/Zero,and many more, but their most popular project out of all would beDemon Slayer, which featured such eye-pleasing animation that other series looked pale. Additionally, the strength of the studio is how it carefully chooses its animators, who can add another star to the title.

The animators are the designers who would influence the final product. Hence, a series likeDemon Slayerlooks so appealing, where the show is core horror at its heart. But more importantly, the studio would follow the wishes of Kuno-Sensei as he wants the remake to be faithful to his manga.

Well, it will be delightful if the animation studio takes on the much-anticipated project. However, fans of the series must wait for an official announcement from the studio or from the mangaka following the project.
