Kohei Horikoshi has provided a platform withMy Hero Academiathat has given fans the opportunity to pick and choose the characters they like best. From All Might and Deku to Bakugo and Todoroki; the number of characters introduced seems to give out the idea that many could rise. However, in the midst of them all, the protagonist got to shine and not at the same time.

Out of all the characters, Deku tracked the path to becoming the greatest hero and then some. While the series ending wasn’t what fans expected, it brought about a big fact into the light; not all heroes wear capes. As such, Deku ending up losing all his powers doesn’t necessarily take away what he had done. Just that he has a lot more to do in his life than just peak in high school.
My Hero Academia’s Popular Heroes
AfterMy Hero Academiaended, there are constant polls being conducted to calculate and find statistics with regard to which characters worked best and which didn’t. From Quirks to protagonistic characters, fans get to decide who and what they love the most. From previously conducted polls, it became evident that Deku wasn’t the most popular character inKohei Horikoshi’sseries.
Bakugo’s Quirk had become the most popular amongst fans, even above the One for All which came as a shocker to everyone. After that, the path to who would be the most popular character was almost decided and evidently predictable. As the results of the poll get released, this prediction has turned from speculation to reality.

“He sees someone who’s trying to do better”: Kohei Horikoshi Was a Genius to Make Hawks Idolize Endeavor in My Hero Academia Despite the Glaring Irony
The latest poll’s results (viaX) bring out the fact that Bakugo is very much the most popular character of the franchise. For someone who was often considered to be the hidden protagonist of the series, his win isn’t so much a surprise. However, the fact that Deku was left behind in second position yet again makes it so that his blasting personality would always be too overbearing as compared to Deku’s more timid approach.
Bakugo Should Get His Own Spin-Off
Bakugo’s popularity over Deku has always been something My Hero Academia fans haven’t been able to escape. Not only was he able to steal the show from the main character but his character development has been a polarizing topic of discussion amongst many fans. Some seem to like it while others find it to be incredibly overhyped. Regardless, his fame isn’t something that has stopped despite the series’ end.
Now that Kohei Horikoshi has finally ended the manga, it wouldn’t be too hard to assume that a possible Bakugo spin-off is something that is needed. His popularity is ever-growing but most importantly, it would let Deku shine on his own. It would make Bakugo the main character of a separate series, taking away any questions about whether or not Deku was the protagonist of the original manga.

After Jujutsu Kaisen Ends, Gege Akutami Finally Has the Time to Pursue a Lifelong Dream by Doing Exactly What Kohei Horikoshi Did When My Hero Academia Concluded
The need for a spin-off for the character is more than obvious. His popularity is going nowhere and no matter how many times one may rewatch it, Bakugo will always stand out.
My Hero Academiais available to watch on Crunchyroll.
