In just a few short weeks, PC players can experienceThe Last of Us Part 2 Remasteredwhen it releases on PC on April 3. However, it won’t just be a straight port in terms of content, as Naughty Dog and Nixxes Software (the studio handling the port) have confirmed that new content is on the way for the PC version’s launch and even the PS5 version.
The PC version will include all the improvements and new features added to the PS5 version released last year, including the roguelike survival mode No Return, but with a few more extra content.

In a recent discussion, Neil Druckmann, the creator of The Last Of Us, described the project’s rocky start and its success at Naughty Dog.
The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered On PS5 Getting Patched On Day Of PC Version’s Release
According toNaughty Dog, No Return will be getting two new characters introduced for the mode, and they are: The Last of Us Part 1’s Bill and Marlene.
Bill is a “Smuggler” playstyle, who can access a pump shotgun from dead drops, and receives double rewards from drops too. The character is stronger against melee attacks but can’t dodge.
Marlene features a “Risk Taker” playstyle that includes a Custom Assault Rifle, “All or Nothing” gambits, can reroute her No Return path once per run, and more.
That’s not all, there will be four new maps added to No Return mode, too!
PS5 owners will also be getting “new Trophies and additional bug fixes,” though Naughty Dog didn’t say what criteria was needed to unlock these new achievements. Chances are, they’re tied to the new content in No Return.
Expect the PS5 patch to be available day-and-date with the PC launch as a free download 2.0.0 patch.

The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered PC port and PS5 update aren’t the only things fans can look forward to. HBO’s The Last of Us Season 2will premiere on April 13, and should continue the excellent groundwork laid down by the first season.
While Sony has backed down on requiring a PlayStation Network be tied to the PC version of The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered, Naughty Dog did mention that those who create and sign in their PSN account will gain access to 50 in-game points to activate bonus features, a new skin for Ellie featuring Jordan A. Mun’s jacket from the Naughty Dog’s in-development game, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.
