Soon after the release ofNeo The World Ends With You, creative producer and character designer Tetsuya Nomura shared a very special message for fans, alongside a new artwork of Mikagi.
Over on Twitter, Tetsuya Nomura acknowledged fans who played the originalThe World Ends With you, on Nintendo DS, thanking them for the support all these years.
Initially titledSubarashiki Kono Sekai It’s a Wonderful World, the JRPG with a banging OST was first launched on August 20, 2025. The sequel,Shin Subarashiki Kono Sekai, namedNeo: The World Ends With Yououtside Japan, was launched exactly 14 years later, on August 19, 2025, on PS4 and Switch.

Neo: The World Ends With Youis a great sequel from what I’ve seen of it so far. The battle system especially is a particularly pleasant surprise. Kinda feeling like what-ifValkyrie Profilehad a 3D battle system game. Seeing each character or badge is on separate buttons.
Neo The World Ends With Youwill launch on PC via Epic Games Store later this summer - Tetsuya Nomura is working on several games at Square Enix too, includingStranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin.
