While this has made him very vocal about several social issues, being a part of several communities and organizations focused on the same, he has still been very cautious about the things he says. Most recently, he talked about politics, and one could say that he was not as direct as many of his fans would have wanted him to be.

That ’70s ShowStar Reveals His Thoughts on Politics

When it comes to talking about politics, many of Hollywood’s finest and most influential people hold off on announcing their opinions. Since people tend to be narrow-minded when it comes to others’ political beliefs when they do not agree with them, celebrities opt out of giving open declarations to lose half of their following.

During a recent interview withThe Hollywood Reporter, Wilmer Valderrama was asked about his own political beliefs, with the elections having not started at the time. The actor was very careful with the words he picked, talking about the time he has spent withVoto Latinoto help Latino youth register to vote.

I mean, look, obviously, as you and I know, his words can really speak for themselves. When I joined Voto Latino 20 years ago, the goal was to wake up the interest of our Latino community.

He was very vocal about asking the Latino community to vote and make their voices heard. He wanted them to take an interest in their country’s political landscape, asking them to vote for the people that they believed in and be well-versed when they were doing so.

He also added that he disliked the recent political landscape where talking about the state of the country’s government always led to some or the other kind of debate. Valderrama does not seem to like this aspect and believes that such debates are a representation of how humanity has been lost.

He even name-droppedDonald Trump, something many celebrities are afraid of doing. With this in mind, the actor pointed out that he would not tell anyone who they should be voting for. The most important part was to fire up my community to go out there and vote for their interest and what they feel their future should look like. And I’m not here to really tell anybody who to vote for. I think you and I know who I’m going to vote for, but the most important thing to me is to tell our culture that this is their election, too.

It would seem that Valderrama’s efforts were excellent, as there were a lot of new Latino voters during the recent presidential elections. In fact, Donald Trump managed to set the record, and his victory was largely because of the support from Latino and Hispanic voters, particularly Latino men (viaThe Guardian).

Although one can imagine that this was not the outcome Valderrama was hoping for, he certainly achieved his goal of getting the Latino youth to vote, just not for the person he seemingly had in mind.
