With the hype forTekken 8reaching new heights, we are officially only 10 days away from the release of one of video games’ longest-running and biggest franchises. The fighting giant has accumulated millions of sales, especially with the last entry,Tekken 7.

Just recently, we got multiple character trailers for characters like Zafina, Alisa, and Panda. We also just witnessed the conclusion of the lastTekkenWorld Tour forTekken 7, one of the highest-profile events for the franchise. And now, we’ve got a brand new live-action trailer that features some well-known personalities in theTekkensphere, as well as who many consider to be one of the greatest athletes of all time.
Tekken 8’s Live-Action Trailer Brings Everyone Together to Get Ready for the Next Battle
This promo begins with a brawl about to start between two fighters. They lock their heads as a sign of respect and as a sign that the battle is about to begin. But then, multiple members of the crowd begin to join in with them.
They all bow their heads in respect, showing that they are ready to fight. As the trailer continues, we see many people all over the world join in. The idea of the trailer is that no matter who you are or where you’re from, everyone is always up for a good fight. That is whatTekkenis about. We all live for the battle.

Right when the promo begins, we see HafþórBjörnsson, the Icelandic professional strongman. Widely considered to be one of the best professional athletes of all time, the man has won several awards for his outstanding performance, and now he has cemented himself inTekkenhistory.
But even more so than that, the most recognizable faces include those of the professional eSports athletes that have madeTekkenthe global franchise that it is today.

The star of the show is none other than Pakistan’s finest, the exceptionally talented and powerful Arslan Ash. This man is widely considered to be unstoppable by theTekkencommunity, as just in the lifetime ofTekken 7, he has won four EVO championships. Not only that, he also just recently won theTekkenWorld Tour, which marked the end ofTekken 7as an eSports phenomenon. It’s safe to say that Arslan is one of, if not the best,Tekkenplayers in the world right now.

Along with Arslan came a host of other widely known and respected professionals and streamers. The first of whom is KingJae from the United Kingdom. KingJae has participated in manyTekken 7championships and has consistently performed well each time he has made an appearance.
From France came Gen1us, or Norman Genius, who is known widely for his fourteen wins in the FranceTekkenchampionships. He also is a well-renowned host and has a presence overall.
Capping off the pros is Sephiblack from Germany, who is known for his exceptional Miguel gameplay. Though Miguel has not yet been confirmed forTekken 8or any of its DLC, many are left pondering which character the pro will main next.
Regardless, the trailer was a pure adrenaline rush and has definitely done its job of showing thatTekkenis global. With how things are shaping out,Tekken 8may even beat the record sales ofStreet Fighter 6andMortal Kombat 1.
As previously mentioned,Tekken 8is only 10 days away from release. However, you’re able to get a taste of the epic new installment with the official demo, which is out now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It features the first chapter of the story mode, as well as Super Ghost Battle and even 1v1 Player vs. Player options.
For fans of the OG characters, Eddy has been confirmed as Season 1 DLC in the Opening Movie promo Bandai Namco released a little while back. The battle is about to begin, and the excitement is going through the roof.Tekken 8releases on all next-gen platforms on January 26.
