Despite Sword of the Sea having a fairlylinear progression path, one of the most important things that you’ll come across while on your journey in thisbeautiful-looking gamewill be your tetra accumulation, AKA the game’s main monetary resource.

This resource will be used to trade with the Mysterious Vendor NPCthroughout the parts of the game in exchange for unlocking new abilities for our Wraith.

Explore Hidden Sections And Areas

The first thing I want to point out to earn money quickly in this game that I can’t stress enough, is to simply trek over any obscure or hidden part of the map.

And yes, that includes some out-of-bounds areas. There’s an obvious answer as to why I recommend this;the developers have cleverly hidden a stack of Tetra spawns throughout most of thesePixar Movie-esque levels.

Whether it was climbing to the top of some spire I wasn’t supposed to via boosting, or randomly hopping onto a boulder off the main path;I can assure you that the game rewarded me for my efforts at exploration at least half the time.

So, if you see an area, and you think to yourself that maybe you’re not supposed to reach it, give it a few tries anyway.

Who knows? You might get treated to a whole stack of Tetra spoonfed to you like that oneinfamous coin stack pile discovery in Mario Odyssey.

Activate Glowing Fish Tiles

Right from the opening sections of the game, whilst you’re solving the puzzles to progress the main story, you can find these small fish tiles across the environments of the levels.

Successfully stepping on them will reward you with a small amount of Tetra, but the best part is that you may find them scattered throughout the several areas. Some are even located in hard-to-reach places, like the Shark and Dolphin statues in the icy levels.

Make a mental note to always run over them when you spot them glowing in the environment, which will then ensure you have a steady flow of Tetra accumulating on the side during your adventure across the game’s various biomes.

It’s helpful to get a nice vantage point, scan below you for glowing fish tiles, then go collect your loot.

Breakable Objects

This one may seem obvious and might not be particularly incentivizing, given the amount of Tetra you receive, but hear me out.

Sword of the Sea’s levels are filled to the brim with breakable objects, from clusters of lamps and jars to even large crystals and icebergs that you can swiftly slice through as Wraith – or even destroy via your Dolphin and Shark companions at certain points in the game.

Breaking these objects in bulk is a great way to slowly but surely generate a hefty chunk of Tetra for yourself. Especially in the first Dolphin level, Forbidden Valley, make sure you break every crystal you come across here.

There are dozens of them, and each one offers Tetra, so I don’t see why you shouldn’t break them apart with the dolphin’s hyperactive jumps.

Trick Attack Challenges

In a game where you’ve got a trusty sword as your hoverboard and main means of traversal, there are a few unique areas where you can be presented with Trick Attack Altars, as shown above.

These are essentially challenges where you need to earn a specific high score by performing tricks on your sword in the allotted time.

And if you manage to find and complete them with relative ease, the game will reward you with a shower of Tetra. Sadly, you won’t get any more for repeatedly completing them or beating your own high score, but these are all worth doing once.

Treasure Chests

And finally, it brings me to the final way you can quickly generate a ton of money in Sword of the Sea, which is by discovering and unlocking treasure chests.

Like any valuable gold treasure box, these will reward you with a surprisingly decent amount of Tetra for going out of your way to open them up.

What’s so great is how you’re able to find them in abundance across the open-ended levelswhere you’re obliged to explore as much as possible.

And if you’re a keen observer, there are also a few larger treasure chests that are secretly tucked awayvia short puzzlesor out-of-reach areas, much like the tiles I previously mentioned, which reward you even more handsomely with Tetra.
