There area lot of different shipsthat you can find - and use - inStarfield. Some of them will be better than others.One type of shipis Trident, which is seen as one ofthe most luxurious shipsin all of space. These ships look great and will surely catch your eye as you progress through the game.

In Starfield, you’ll need to choose between the Crimson Fleet and United Colonies in the Eye of the Storm questline.
When they do catch your eye, they are most likely going to cause you towant to get your hands on them yourself. The only issue is that the game doesn’t explain to you how (or if) you canpurchase a Trident shipfor yourself. That’s something you have to figure out for yourself, or right here.

How To Buy Trident Ships
At of the time of writing,it is not possible to buy a Trident ship, which comes as a big disappointment for anyship collecting enthusiasts. You can head to the Trident Luxury Lines Staryards, which is in orbit over Akila, where these ships are built in the game. However, interacting with the people there and trying to see if there is one for you to purchase will net you a negative result.
There simply justisn’t a Trident Ship for salein the game.
Don’t forget to take part insome other offeringsthat the Trident Staryard can give you, including the following missions:
You can also use a Bounty Clearance Computer toclear any bountyyour character may have. You can also seek out a Mission Board to acquire some side missions.
While you cannot buy a Trident Ship at this location, thisdoes not mean that you can’t get your hands on a Trident Ship. It will just have to be through a method that is a little less legal.
If you are out in the world of the game and see a Trident Ship flying around, youcan become a pirate and take the ship for yourself. Simply follow the usual process ofhailing a ship, boarding it, and taking it over through more violent means. This will allow you to take the ship for yourself and become its new captain.
The problem with thisis two-fold though:
First, stealing this ship willget you a bounty with the Freestar Collective. This means that you will be hunted down anytime you enter Freestar Collective space, and this won’t stop until you pay your bounty off, which can be quite expensive.
Second, it iscompletely random as to which ships will be flying around in a systemwhen youwarp into the area. This means that it could take you a long, long time to come across a Trident Ship that you can take over. And even then, who knowswhich other shipsare there that might fight back against you? It’s just not a given that you will find one of these ships in any reliable location.
Because of this, it’s just easier totry not focusing on finding a Trident Ship.Rather, just keep an eye out as you go about your usual business. You may get lucky eventually and come across an unsuspecting spacefarer whogoes down without a fight. Just don’t try and spend hours upon hours hunting these ships.
