However, unlikeSkyrim, all the bells and whistles of Starfield’s advanced combat systems are not available to players right from the start. They will need to invest in the appropriate skill trees to get the most benefit out of a specific playstyle. Though Sneak attacks can be performed without any perks, they won’t be of much use without some skill point investment.

How To Perform A Sneak Attack
Sneak attackscanbe performed without putting a point into theStealth skill, but they are vastly more effective the more levels you have in Stealth.Performing a sneak attack is easy.
Sounds simple, yes, but it becomes even simpler with one point in the Stealth Skill. This one skill point investment into theStealth skill in the Physical Treeunlocks the stealth meter. This is a white bar that appears near the top of your HUD every time you crouch and indicates whether or not you are “Hidden.”

How Does The Stealth Bar Work
If youarehidden, attacking any enemy with a ranged weapon will count as a sneak attack.If you’re not hidden, anything you shoot will take regular damage; the sneak attack modifier will not be added to that attack.

If you progress through the game and unlock the unique powers only available to the Starborn, you will be able to learn the powerVoid Form, which will allow you to turn invisible. This will ensure that it is extremely easy to go back into stealth after you’ve attracted the attention of a group of enemies.
