How To Dock Your Ship

In order to dockyour ship, you will first need to find anon-hostile shipor a station to dock at. All you need to do now is get within range of your target destination so that thedock and hail options appear under its health bar. Once this has appeared, you’re able to press A button on an Xbox controller or the E key on your keyboard. If you are using a Playstation controller on your PC due to not having an Xbox controller, this would be your X button — Along with pressing triangle when told to press Y, circle when told to press B and square when told to press X. After this, you will receive a prompt to press X on your Xbox controller, R key for keyboard, or square on a Playstation controller to complete your docking.

What If The Ship Is Hostile?

If the ship is of a hostile nature, that makes thisa little more complicated. You will now need to engage in combat. Your primary focus will be to open fire on the hostile ship’s thrusters. After you have dealt a sufficient amount of damage, you will see ared markerappear next to the hostile ship’s health bar. Once the ship has stopped moving, fly up to it until the docking option becomes available and perform the same docking procedure as any non-hostile ship or station. Be sure torepairany damages you may incur andupgradeyour ship to be the best it can be.
