Although they are not in-game yet, aliens do have a solid trace in the lore ofStar Citizen, as we already have access to a number of alien ships in the PU. Similar to every year, Cloud Imperium Games is running an Alien Week event to celebrate everything we learned from aliens so far.

While there won’t be any specific in-game event during Alien Week 2023, the developer does have some special offers at the Pledge Store for both newcomers and those who would like to upgrade their currently pledged ship to something alien!

What Is Alien Week?

You need to seek the origins of Alien Week in the First Contact Day, which was the first time ever that the human race officially contacted a non-human race in the Davien System. According to the game’s lore, the contact was made by a human explorer who spotted a Banu ship and reported the matter to the higher-ups in the UNE. A diplomatic team from UNE flew to the same location and after making contact with Banu Protectorate, they made a peace pact with the non-human race.

Now, Alien Week is a yearly celebration of this event. Cloud Imperium Games usually focuses on the existing alien ships in the PU and provides discounted offers for players to have their first experience with an alien product at ease. But this year, there is another surprise as well.

Alien 1

Alien Week 2023 Offers

This year, Cloud Imperium Games offers a discount on all Paint Packs for the alien ships of any brand. Also, there are a number of new Paints for alien ships such as Esperia Talon.

When it comes to Pledge Store, the offers are only limited to Warbound Upgrades, which means you simply give your currently pledged ship and receive an alien ship of your choice at a discounted price. Needless to say that you will only pay the price difference in this case. However, the Warbound Upgrades are only available for the following ships:

Banu Defender

If you decide to purchase any of the above ships on top of your current pledge, you must pay the original price. However, there is a special starter pack offer based on alien ships, available for beginners and newcomers to the verse, which does come at a decent price.

It’s worth noting that Esperia Talon itself costs $115 in the Pledge Store, but this pack includes additional Paints as well.

Banu Tholo

Alien Week 2023 In-Game Event

For now, there is no official in-game event or activity for players to do, but Cloud Imperium Games teased an alien object called Banu Tholo, which is supposed to be fully revealed in an upcoming lore post soon. Apparently, this is going to be an obtainable item in the PU, but for more details, we need to wait until the lore post comes out.

As far as we can tell at the moment, Banu Tholo is a decision-making device that you can ask a question, and it will tell you whether to do it or not. We will update this post with more information about Banu Tholo as soon as the lore post is available.
