The reason the Gameshow is so difficult is due to the impeccable timing and precision aiming needed by both players throughout. Of all the side stories in Split Fiction, this is the one most likely to test friendships or result in one person being forced to sleep on the couch.

Split Fiction Gameshow Bomb Toss Mio Zoe

Bomb Toss Basics

The Gameshow involves a game called Bomb Toss, where players must throw a bomb between each other like it’s a basketball. When one player is holding the bomb, it will start to tick and explode if not thrown at the other player before it detonates.

Luckily, the game isn’t totally without mercy, as the bomb does have a homing aspect to its design to make things a bit easier. This means you don’t have to be exact when throwing the bomb, as it will move to the player as long as it’s thrown close to them.

DON’T PANIC! The bomb and homing mechanics are more forgiving than they seem. Just remain calm and approach the level with the knowledge that you have infinite lives.

Training Round - The First Four Tosses

The Training Round is simple: each player throws the bomb to each other four times. Make sure to throw the bomb when the target reticle is over the other character.

Round 1 - The Straight Shot

In the first real stage, a walkway will appear which leads to a bomb disposal tube. To pass this round, both players should run to the third square, stop, throw the bomb, and then repeat the process.

Once both players are at the tube, they can get rid of the bomb. One player must open the bomb receptacle before the person carrying the bomb can deposit it.

Round 2 - The Glass Wall

The second round puts a large wall between both players. Each player needs to run to the green circles on the stage, propelling them into the air and allowing the bomb to be thrown. Take it slow and steady; go to each circle, throw the bomb when you’re in the air, and continue.

Round 3 - The Firewalls

The third round is considerably harder. Parts of the stage will lift up, creating walls and conjuring blasts of fire. Both players need to reach the corner, throw the bomb, then wait for the flames to stop. Then, run around the corner and throw the bomb again.

Jump to the next platform, pass the corner, then throw the bomb once more for safety. Keep an eye out for the flames in the area and make sure they’ve gone out before proceeding to the bomb disposal tube.

Round 4 - The Robot

The fourth round has a wide-open area with a giant robot. This evil machine will drive straight at the player holding the bomb, forcing you to pass it back and forth multiple times.

To succeed, make sure both players are far apart so you have ample time to make progress down the stage before the robot catches up again.

If the robot is too close, it will instakill anyone it touches. Keep up the momentum and head to the tube, which is on a platform straight ahead of the starting area.

Throw the bomb when the robot is one square away from the target. This should give you just enough time to get away before it kills you.

Round 5 - The Remix

The fifth round is where things getreallydifficult, and elements from previous levels are brought back and remixed for harder scenarios.

For this stage, run/jump across the moving platforms and throw the bomb. Wait for the green sparks to shoot you up, throwing the bomb as necessary. Then, run and jump across the moving platforms while throwing the bomb until you get to the tube.

Take your time. There’s no limit, so no need to rush.

Final Round - The Detonation

For the final round, jump to the third platform and throw the bomb. Wait till the glowing dots on the next platform glow green and jump/dash through them to the next platform where you’re able to safely throw the bomb.

Go up the lifting platform and throw the bomb again. Two final green spots will launch you to the robot’s head.

One player must open the hatch for the other to deposit the bomb inside the host’s robo-brain.

With that last blast, the agonizing Gameshow side story in Split Fiction has come to an end!

If you manage to complete everything in one go without the bomb detonating once, you’ll earn one ofSplit Fiction’s hardest trophiesas well!
