Believe it or not, they’re making aÂSpace Jam 2. I’m not really sure why they’re makingÂSpace Jam 2but this time around, it’s set to star current Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James alongside Bugs Bunny and pals. It was recently announced, the film is set to release on July 01, 2025.While video game adaptations of theatrical releases have fallen by the wayside a bit in recent years, one developer in the industry is dead set on ensuring that they can create the video game adaptation ofÂSpace Jam 2down the road. Following the release date announcement of the film, Iron Galaxy’s Dave Lang chimed in on Twitter and basically demanded that he be the one to work on the game if it were to happen. “If we don’t get to do this video game adaptation someone somewhere fucked up,” Lang tweeted out. He then encouraged his followers to signal boost his tweet to help make sure it comes to fruition. For a bit of context as to why Lang wants to makeÂSpace Jam 2so badly, Lang himself worked on the originalÂSpace Jamvideo game back in the 90s. Released on the Sega Saturn, PlayStation, and MS-DOS, the original version ofÂSpace Jamwas the first game that Lang says he ever worked on in the industry as a professional developer. Despite his personal attachment to the game,ÂSpace Jamwas–as you might imagine–not a phenomenal game. Critically panned from a variety of outlets, Lang’s claim to fame of working onÂSpace Jamhas become a running gag of sorts. As someone who personally happened to playSpace Jam a few months back randomly, I can safely report that it is indeed a very odd video game.More than anyone else in this industry though, Lang knows what it takes to create aÂSpace Jamvideo game and as such I see no better fit than him and Iron Galaxy to be the ones that create this highly-anticipated sequel. Do Lang a favor and go retweet his message at the bottom of this page. We need aÂSpace Jam 2 and it’s a video game crime if Lang isn’t the one who gets to work on the project.Let Lang makeÂSpace Jam 2, cowards.
