Sometimes, to find what you’re seeking, it will be impossible to do so unless the conditions arejustright. This includes the weather, time of day, et cetera.

When it comes to the Maangodin Ghost Ship, it’s no different. If the conditions aren’t just right,you will never find it. However, when you finally find this ship, it will be well worth the wait. Aside from the bragging rights alone, you will be rewarded greatly.

Required Conditions For The Ghost Ship
To find the Maangodin Ghost Ship, there are a couple of conditions that must be met by the game itself before you set sail to find it. The first condition is itmust be at nightwhen you go searching for it.
Secondly, while it doesn’t seem to explicitly say this is a condition, it is suggested that you wait until it’s a clear night with no storms in the vicinity of where the ship should be. You can simply look up at the sky, and if you see stars, then it’s the perfect time to go searching for the ship.
You can only do this questonce every 24 hours.

The Maangodin Ghost Ship will belocated by The Oubliette, Pirate’s Bonfire, near Port l’Hermine. This is to the far Southeast of Sainte-Anne.
Speak With Mysterious Rogue
Upon docking here, you must speak with the Mysterious Rogue. They will give youa quest called, “Oceans Apart.“Once you start tracking this quest, you will see a yellow-highlighted portion of sea to the east of The Oubliette. It is a fairly large area, and the ship could appear anywhere within yellow. Before beginning your search, you will want torepair your shipif it is damaged so it is ready for battle.
Finding The Maangodin Ghost Ship
When you set sail from The Oubliette, head to your right and begin searching the sea for the ghost ship. If you pull out your scope, you can begin examining the water for any signs of the ship. You may or may not have luck seeing it until you’re actually in the marked zone. When you begin approaching the zone, pull out your scope again and take a look. It shouldn’t take long forthe ship to emerge from the fog.
When you look at the Maangodin with your scope, there will be a ‘Patrolling’ pop up on the right of your screen, giving youinformation about the ship. The type of loot available will be randomized, and you do have the possibility to obtain aGhost Flamethrowerfrom it.
If you’re looking to get the flamethrower but don’t see it, you can always quit to the main menu, wait around 30 seconds, then try toconnect to a different server. You should spawn where you left off, near the zone of the ghost ship. If it isn’t night anymore, you will have to wait for the ship to reappear.

How To Beat Maangodin Ghost Ship
When you approach the ship, it will send spectral rockets your way. There areweak spots on the shipthat you should target first as the rest of the vessel will be immune until you take these out. These weak spots will glow red, so they’re easy to find.
It’s suggested you use weapons that will deal direct damage, such as theculverins, Scurlock’s Chasers long gun, or even AoEdamage with the bombards. Once you’ve hit the weak spots a couple of times, you will hear a screech. The entire hull will now be vulnerable, and you should try to get as many hits in as possible to the whole vessel before it becomes immune again.
When it becomes immune again, attack the weak spots once more andrepeat the processuntil you finally take it down. Doing damage from a distance might be best, as there’s less of a chance of them getting many hits on you. Though remember, there might be enemies nearby that you will have to fight simultaneously.
Keep an eye on how close you are to the perimeter of the ghost ship area, as if you venture out of it, theship will come out of aggroand basically be reset back to where it was originally. Pay attention to your surroundings. While the fight is in open waters, and you don’t have to worry about hitting land, the sea may still be rough and storms could blow in as well. Take your time and don’t rush it as that’s when you could make mistakes. This battle will take a little while to complete.
Looting Maangodin Ghost Ship
There is a chance the Ghost Flamethrower will bein the mysterious chest, but you’re able to also catch the ship when the flamethrower is just in the inventory.
