Beyond the fairly positive scores this game has received, the title, just like in its original version, contains a fantastic number of collectibles and all sorts of things to discover while exploring this eerie town.
One of the most common things you’ll find while wandering through the streets of this place are various safes to unlock and retrieve whatever’s inside. This is a guide on how to find the safe codes inSilent Hill 2.
Woodlands Apartments safe
Once you enter the Woodlands Apartments section, in one of the rooms you’ll find one of the first safes inSilent Hill 2. If you want to quickly find the specific code, you’ll need to check every corner of the walls and ceiling in the area where the safe is located.

By shining light on certain parts of the wall, you’ll find that the code has three digits: 13, 7, and 11. To unlock this particular safe, you’ll find a note behind it explaining how to rotate the numbers. You’ll need to rotate 13 to the right, 7 to the left, and finally 11 to the right, and the safe will open.

Jack’s Inn
In the reception area of this hotel complex, there will be a small electronic safe to unlock. Firstly, to locate the paper containing the code’s clues, or if you prefer a more organic approach, you must ascend to the upper floor.
You’ll need to climb through an open window into a literally broken gap in the wall. After crawling through that broken hole in the wall, you’ll find another room with a paper containing text with clues to unlock the safe.
Once you’ve completed this task, return to the reception area and locate the safe behind the counter. If you haven’t solved how to open it yet, the code you need to enter is 0533, as the letter indicates. Once you input the code, the small safe will open.
South Vale Bowling Alley Safe
In the middle of the highway, there will be a bloody note next to a corpse. This note contains information on how to open the small safe located in the South Vale Bowling Alley inSilent Hill 2.
Starfield Shattered Space: How to Get the REV-8
Upon revisiting this bowling alley, you’ll discover that the note bears a specific date: 1887. Unlocking the bowling alley’s small safe requires this code.
Hospital Director’s Office Safe
Later in the game, when you’re inside the hospital inSilent Hill 2, you’ll need to find the director’s office. Once inside, you’ll encounter a peculiar safe that requires symbols instead of numbers to open.
These particular symbols represent specific numbers, and you’ll need to place them in a certain order, thanks to a hand that is on the director’s desk, to open the safe. To help you see the symbols you need to enter before opening the safe, you’ll find an illustrative image below.
These are all the safes available in the game, and the codes apply both for standard difficulty and higher difficulty levels.
