There seems to be no end to the controversy that stemmed during the shoot ofIt Ends with Usbetween Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively. They have both sued each other and are presenting conflicting narratives about the same matters.

Now, the legal conflict has escalated further with Baldoni’s team releasing behind-the-scene footage where the duo is slow dancing (viaBBC). The actress’ legal team denied the opposition’s claims that there was any professionalism and mutual agreement during this scene.

Clearly, both sides have contrasting takes on what actually happened in the footage, and it has intensified the public’s fascination with the incident. So,The Hollywood Reporterreached out to Mia Schachter, an intimacy coordinator, and asked her to share a nuanced perspective of the scene.
The first thing is that he is trying to kiss her, and they clearly haven’t discussed that ahead of time, and she keeps pulling away and clearly doesn’t want to do that.

I can just see her trying to stay lighthearted and in good spirits about it and not upset him or anybody, and not waste anybody’s time. But of course, she is trapped between a rock and a hard place. I can see her appeasing him and trying to keep a smile on her face.
She made it clear that scenes that involve s*x or kissing are choreographed, so both actors are comfortable and informed. Schachter also sheds some light on the power dynamics between Baldoni and Lively during the scene, which is indeed a point of concern. The intimacy coordinator suggested that despite the latter being an established actress, she could feel pressured to remain cordial with the director, i.e., Baldoni.
