Whoever said actions speak louder than words is clearly oblivious to Hideo Kojima’s taciturn reviews.

The Boys

After much anticipation, a brand new season ofThe Boysis finally here. But the singular sentence that Kojima left as what seems to be a review of season 4 seems more grim than the villainous superheroes from the show itself.

Based on Kojima’s dreadful one-sentence update on the latest season of the dark comedy, fans are thoroughly nervous, to say the least. But will forthcoming episodes salvage the show or will this beThe Boys’demise?

IsThe Boys4 In Hot Water After Hideo Kojima’s Review?

A video game connoisseur doubling as a passionate film critic,Hideo Kojimais renowned for his reviews of movies and shows so it’s hardly any surprise that his word is tantamount to gospel. But what is shocking is his foreboding one-line commentary regardingThe Boysseason 4.

On a scale of 1-10, a single-line review by theMetal Gearcreator falls on the most dreadful end of the continuum, much worse than a 1-star rating.

The Boys

Eric Kripke’sThe Boyswent off with a bang in 2019 with its first season sparking a fuse of excitement among audiences. The second and third seasons too, turned out to be showstopping as the Prime Video series gleamed in all its violent, sardonic glory. Naturally, fans awaited season 4 which seemed to be full of deliciously wicked promises, but Kojimo’s update has them breaking a sweat.

But, as it turns out, that wasn’t the only thing he had to say about the show.

Hideo Kojima Nearly Scared The Life Out OfThe BoysFans

The Japanese video game designer’s cold, clipped review of season 4 crammed in barely half a sentence was more than enough to set fans on edge. But thanks toThe Boys‘ lucky stars, Kajimo seems to have liked the new season, if the string of fire emojis is any proof.

In a separate post, theDeath Strandingdesigner dropped a row of emojis, including a fire, a thumbs-up, and a heart emoticon(s). Phew.

Kojima’s use of emojis in reviews is usually the telltale seal of approval that the film/show in question was good enough in his books. So, fans are taking a breath of relief that the jumpscare of a review wasn’t what it looked like and thatThe Boysseason 4 is indeed, a certified knockout.

thank you bro i was a bit scared
