The upcomingDeadpool & Wolverineis burdened with the mammoth task of reviving the MCU and Ryan Reynolds is trying his best to do that. It is rumored that the film will feature many prominent characters from the earlier Marvel movies as cameos which will induce cheers in the theatres. However, one of the major characters was out of the equation- Cable.
Josh Brolin gave an interview a few days ago where he stated that he was not asked to reprise his role in the upcoming film. Brolin looked frustrated for not being called to join the MCU. Surprisingly, in the latest interview, theAvengers: Endgamestar raised a buzz on the internet when he revealed that Reynolds has recently reached out to him.

Speaking with The Playlist’sBingeworthy podcast, when Josh Brolin was asked if he was in the upcoming film, he admitted that he wanted to be inDeadpool 3. He stated that he had fun playing Cable. Despite working in the MCU, the Thanos actor shared that Marvel Studios’ working process is complex and beyond his understanding.
“Am I? Yes! I so wanted to be in that movie. [Marvel] is a more complex labyrinth than Outer Range will ever be, my friend. And I will never know where that went or what that is or what I’m involved with or what I’m not involved with – the MCU being so involved now. Cable was a lot of fun. I really liked doing that role. That was a lot of fun.”
According to the latest reports,Ryan Reynoldsmay have reached out to the star following the podcast. TheDuneactor stated in an interview withEtalkthat the Canadian actor hit him up and congratulated him forDune 2’ssuccess.

Soon after the news was revealed, several fans suggested that it may be a hint to the comeback of Cable in the Shawn Levy directorial. Trusted scooper Daniel RPK also stated onPatreon(viaDexerto) thatDeadpool & Wolverineis going through reshoots to add more cameos to the story. It may be a scenario that Cable’s inclusion is also a part of these reshoots.
