On Monday, an open letter was released for the public to see surround what the director ofTheZone of Interestsaid. A huge number of Jewish celebrities, actors, directors, producers, and more, have signed on the letter which criticizesJonathan Glazerand thespeech that he made at the Oscars.According toThe Hollywood Reporter, the letter had over 450 signatures yesterday itself, which is a huge number on its own.
In less than a day, after this number was released, the letter had an additional 500 signatures, bringing the total to over 950 signatures. In the letter, they played on the words said by the filmmaker during his winner’s speech, stating thatthey did not believe in what he had said.

Many celebrities have kept their thoughts on the Israel-Palestine conflict private as many who have spoken up have gotten backlash from one side or the other.
