Updated by Isabella Risoni on June 29, 2025:Remnant 2 has so many worlds to explore that there is constantly new information being released as it’s discovered. Due to this, we want to give you the most up-to-date information to help you throughout your adventure in the various worlds of Remnant 2. The Remnant 2 character is showing the general location in their menu of where to find the Dreamcatcher melee weapon.

Dreamcatcher Location

The Dreamcatcher will ultimately be located in the Tormented Asylum. However, you must go to the Morrow Parish map and enter the Asylum on this map to complete a set of quests leading up to your ability to obtain the Dreamcatcher. You may have to re-roll your campaign until Morrow Parish is the beginning location.

Another alternative would be to play in Adventure Mode, however, it seemsyou would have to defeat a main boss in the Losomn in campaign modeto have it be an option for a re-roll in Adventure Mode, and unfortunately, that is not certain.

Finding The Dreamcatcher

As mentioned, the Dreamcatcher can be obtained in the Losomn biome. Once you haveAdventure Mode unlocked, we suggest you re-roll in Adventure Mode for the Morrow Parish location, so you don’t lose your progress and have toreroll your campaign.Starting in Morrow Parish, you will need to venture through the Overworlduntil you reach the entrance to the sub-location that has the exclamation point over it.

If you bring up the map, you will see it towards the top from where you are. Depending on your game, it may show Cotton’s Kiln or a different location such as The Great Sewers. So long as you see the exclamation point over that entrance, then you’re good to go.

The character in Remnant 2 found a Stone-Carved Doll beneath the mist hovering over the grass.

After you defeat the boss in your particular sub-location, you will head toward the exit that pops up on your screen. This will bring you to a new area in the Morrow Parish Overworld.Check the map and look for the Morrow Sanitorium Checkpoint. You must make your way through this area to get to this point. From here, there will be a few steps you must take to reach the Dreamcatcher.

The Remnant 2 character found the first Stone Carved Doll in the asylum on the first floor.

Step 1: Stoned Carved Dolls

Enter the Asylum on the second floor near the checkpoint. There will be a ladder that you should climb up to the stone ledge and enter through the open window. You will be looking for the 3 stone-carved dolls. The first one will be on the first floor.

Stone Carved Doll 1

When you enter through the window, turn to your right and head down the hallway and through the door at the end.Turn to your left then go through the door on your left at the end of the room. You can choose to just run through the enemies or fight them.

Next, turn to your left out of the door and then right. You will see a green glow on a toppled-over wooden case. By interacting with it, you will receive one Blood Root. You will want to unlock the door next to the Blood Root for a shortcut.

The Remnant 2 character found the second Stone Carved Doll in the courtyard of the asylum.

Do not go through the door, instead turn around and head down the stairs to the first floor. Take a turn to your left and then right down the hallway. You will see a door on your right to enter.Around the bookcase to your left will be the first stone doll.

Stone Carved Doll 2

Once you have the doll, exit the room and turn to your left. You will head down the hallway, through the open door straight ahead of you, then down a flight of stairs located just through the next door to your left. This will lead you to the basement.

If you turn left from the webs, you can sometimes find a Simulacrum.Be sure to avoid the metal grate in the wall unless you want to be eaten. Head down the other way, to the right of the webs. You’ll want to make a quick stop at one of the cells so turn through the open door on your right. There will be a hole in the wall at the back of the room to the right which you can climb through and find theShock Device Amulet.

Return to the hall and go to the right. The last cell on your left will hold a prisoner that will be important later on.you’re able to speak with her, however, nothing will be productive until later after you retrieve all the dolls.Continue on and climb the stairs to your left. You will enter the asylum’s courtyard where you will take a right and go through this wooden board gate-like structure and continue to your right again.

An antidote may be next to the doors up the short stone steps which you can grab before opening the doors. This will give you a shortcut back inside. Before heading back inside, you will want to grab the stone-carved doll located at the far corner of the courtyard.Head towards the glowing light on the shed at the left corner past this little stoop you’re on, and you’ll eventually see the orange glow of the doll to your right.

Stone Carved Doll 3

Once you grab the second doll, open up the shed and fight the small boss located inside.Make sure youequip any unlocked perksprior to the boss to give you a better chance at not only this boss fight but ones to come fairly soon. You can then take the 3rd-floor key located on the table in the shed. Head back into the asylum and up to the 3rd floor. Go through the doors you previously unlocked up the short stone steps, then take a left and go up the stairs.

Go through the door you unlocked earlier across from the stairs and veer to your right. To your right will be an open door where another set of stairs will take you to the 3rd floor.Head up both sets of stairs, then unlock the door with the key you retrieved from the shed.

The final stone-carved doll will be in the first room to your left. Watch out for the flying enemies in this room. Run straight ahead then to your right avoiding the big hole in the floor. Veer to your right again and go through the door on your left. Through this door, go to your left and head straight. The doll will be behind the clutter next to the wall with a glowing light.

Step 2: Release The Prisoner

After you obtain the final doll, go back out the door you came in, take a right, and go through the broken window straight ahead. You will land on a balcony and find the key to the cell the prisoner is being held in just to the left.To the right of the window will be a Simulacrum. Climb back through the window and head down to the basement. Go through the door across the room past the hole in the floor, go to your right then through the door on your right, and down the stairs.

Out that door go to your left, then go through the first open door to your left. Head down the stairs to the first floor then veer to your left and take another sharp left to go through the door under the staircase. Go through the door straight ahead to your left and go down the basement stairs. Now, go to the right of the webs and to the last cell on your left.Speaking with her must be done in specific steps.

Speak with the prisoner, the head doctor, and get all the information you can. You’ll want to select the “I have something of yours” option and then “are these your sculptures/give dolls” option. This should remind her of an old song she knows where she tells you 4 specific numbers. These numbers will be theLosomn Asylum Safe Combination. Continue speaking with her and ask any available questions you may have.

Once you’re done speaking with her, unlock the door. When you open the door, you are able to pick up the Nightweaver Stone Doll from the cell. From the cell, head back to your right, the way you came, and go back to the first floor to open the safe while you’re here. The following video will give you visual instructions for these steps.

Step 4: Find Nimue

From there, head out of the room and go up the stairs to the third floor.Go through the door at the top of the stairs and go through the room on your left, then turn to your right.Go through that door to head up the stairs to the 3rd floor, then turn to your left and go through the open door on your left.

Go around the hole in the floor and back through that door to your left. This time, however, instead of going straight where you found the third doll, you will take a right and come to an open door.Go through this door and through the door to the left of you.

When you enter the room, there will be a magic door will appear on the wall in front of you. This should always lead to Nimue’s Retreat. Continue forward until you reach Nimue then speak with her. She does offer special crafting services, but you’re only going to be concerned about speaking to heruntil you get the option of “I’m ready. Send me to the Nightweaver’s hunting grounds.”

You will then be sent to the Forsaken Quarter which is another Overworld location. Make your way through the Overworld until you reach a sub-location entrance that has an exclamation point above it on your map. This may be located to the left of your map. While this can lead to various sub-locations depending on procedural generation, you will need to travel to it regardless. The following video will help you if you’re still having trouble finding Nimue or communicating with her.

Step 5: Find Soulkey Tribute

From that sub-location, you will need to defeat the final boss.Once the final boss is defeated, a waypoint will appear for you to exit the area. While you’re making your way to this exit, you will encounter a wraith feeding on a corpse. When you approach her, she will wail and fly away.

She will leave behind the Soulkey Tribute which you will take. After taking this item, go through the exit, and you will be transported back to the first floor of the asylum in a room you previously could not go into. You’ll want to open the closed door and make your way to the basement.

This time, you will want to interact with the tangle of webs straight ahead of you. Using the Soulkey Tribute, it will open the webs allowing you to then interact with it again, and you will be transported to a new location, the Tormented Asylum.Once you’re transported, you’re able to then go up to the courtyard and fight thefinal boss in this biome, The Nightweaver.

Step 6: Receive Dreamcatcher

Before fighting it, head to your right and go in the open cell on your left which will have more webs dangling from the ceiling. Interact with the webs and offer the Nightweaver Stone Doll you received from the Head Doctor a while back. This will give you the Dreamcatcher melee weapon as a reward. All thesteps can be a bit confusing when it finally comes down to receiving the Dreamcatcher, so the following video should help you if you’re having any trouble.

Uses For The Dreamcatcher

The Dreamcatcher has multiple uses and isn’t just for fighting enemies using melee.you’re able to actually use this on particular NPCs and in return, you will receive uniquely special items from the consumables you receive from those NPCs. With these consumables, you must put them in a QuickSlot in order to use them.

Crescent Moon Bow

An example of an NPC this will work on is Nimue.you may find Nimue’s Retreat when you are exploring Losomn. When she is asleep, you’ll want to hit her bracelet with your Dreamcatcher to receive what’s called the Nimue’s Dream consumable. If you constantly leave and return to this retreat, you can force her to sleep.

When you take this consumable, you will travel to the Retreat’s Horizon. There will be an item here, a blue stone called Anamy’s Echo, that you will need so you can craft the Crescent Moon bow with McCabe, one of the NPCsyou upgrade weaponswith when you travel back to Ward 13.

Familiar Weapon Mod

A boss you can use the Dreamcatcher on is the Huntress. She is known to chase you when you are exploring the Forsaken Quarter and Losomn’s Ironborough. However, when she’s not chasing you, you can find her sleeping in these areas. Careful not to wake her, if you approach her while she’s sleeping and hit her with the Dreamcatcher, you will be rewardedwith the consumablecalled the Huntress’s Dream.

This will teleport you to Briella’s Reverie when you consume it, and you will then have a chance to defeat the Huntress. When you defeat her, you will receive the Sacred Hunt Feather which can be taken back to McCabe in Ward 13to craft the Familiar weapon mod.

Invader Archetype

If you leave the engine room located near the checkpoint at the Root Earth’s Corrupted Harbor map, you will battle in an arena at the ground level. On the ground, you’ll notice a glowing large pod that you will want to hit with the Dreamcatcher.

You’ll not only receive the Escalation Protocol Amulet, but also the consumable called Walker’s Dream. Consuming this will send the fans of Soulslike to Bane for a boss fight. When you win this fight, you will be rewarded with a Wooden Shiv. If you take this to Ward 13 and give it to Wallace, you will unlock the Invader Archetype.
