It has been six years sinceRed Dead Redemption 2was released and with it being widely regarded as one of the best games of all time due to its incredible setting and diverse set of characters, it’s of little wonder why Wild West fans are so eager to see the story continued with a third installment. Although (no spoilers), it would certainly need to be a different concept due to how it ended, there are countless waysRockstarcould incorporate an exciting, and fresh, narrative once more.
There’s no denying that without the rough and readyArthur Morganat the helm, RDR2 would have certainly lost its charm, but for those who might think the brooding outlaw is just a tad too handsome for his own good, there’s a mod available that will make the ruthless cowboy an “uglier” and “meaner” version of himself, just in case that’s your thing.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Short Film Shows Arthur Morgan’s Story In A Different Light
A Red Dead Redemption 2 fan has spent months crafting a 38-minute short film that spans the entirety of the story.
New Face, Who’s This?
Despite Arthur’s violent tendencies and an unsympathetic way of life, you can’t deny that the outlaw has a certain magnetism to how he carries himself, and, at the end of the day, he’s not really that bad, is he? Prone to joking around and being loyal to those he trusts, Arthur’s somewhat “child-like” side doesn’t come across on his rough yet chiseled jawline in what many would call a traditionally handsome face.
Thankfully though, if you’re more into your “ugly” Cowboys, there’s a new mod for that. Over onNexusmods, a creator has decided to craft an add-on to Red Dead Redemption 2 that restores Arthur Morgan’s original beta face to the game so he looks a lot younger and has a far more thuggish look to him. The description reads: “This is an attempt to recreate the ugly and meaner beta images we have of Arthur. Without model support, this is the best we could accomplish, giving him new scars, brown stubble, and with the help of expression editing a new facial structure.”
First reported by Twitter/X userAmeer, the comments under the post are pretty much split three ways regarding whether they like it or not, with some even seeing no difference. “I prefer this. Arthur being less pretty and slightly rougher works better, imo. Bro is too handsome.“statedone user. “ehhh I don’t like it tbh but cool, I think!“saidanother, while someone else wrote that they couldn’t even tell the difference between his old and “new” face.
Personally, I don’t see a lot of change myself and, maybe I’m in the minority here, but I like his weathered and aged face just fine. Despite RDR2’s age, it’s still doing very well for itself with many people still jumping into it daily, but fans certainly wouldn’t say no to an enchanted edition with 60fps mode, 4K visuals, and other enhancements, although most wouldn’t want topay more than $10 for it.
