Ryo Mizuno mentioned how he wrote the kind of story he wants to write now, so it might be a bit different than the previous novels, and he’s looking forward to the readers' impressions. He also mentioned how writingLodosstakes him a lot of time. Writing a character as iconic as Deedlit makes him polish every one of her lines to the limit, to not disappoint the fans.

As such, Mizuno said it’ll probably take at least one year for “Record of Lodoss War: The Pledged Diadem 2"to release.

Mizuno also talked about his writing style, and how he always imagine his stories from beginning to end before writing them. He jokingly mentioned how stretching a popular series with the same characters and setting for 10 or 20 volumes yields more money, but he can’t manage to write that way. However, Mizuno added that it’s not like he always sticks to what he initially imagined. He tries to extend his stories as much as possible, confident he’ll always be able to wrap it up nicely. His stories are written in a way that their ending will always be the logical conclusion of everything built until then.
