During the recent Rocksteady insider YouTube video, gamers got a sneak peek at the future of theSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leaguetitle, and during this insider video, a tease of the first season was revealed with a rather unexpected character making his debut.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League season 1 content has been revealed.

Even though the game hasn’t officially been released yet, we are still receiving regular updates from Rocksteady about its future and what we will be seeing once it is released and many months later, but this announcement has many gamers wondering whether this is a step backwards or forwards for the franchise.

What Character Was Teased During the Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Insider Video?

As stated above, there was a huge character reveal during theSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leagueinsidervideo, and so far, the response has been rather mixed, as some gamers are eager to get their hands on this new character, while others feel that this is a major slap across the face to the Arkhamverse and its fans.

The character in question is the Joker, who will be coming in the first seasonal update for the game. However, this isn’t the Joker that we all know and fell in love with from theArkhamgames.

Gamers are unhappy with The Joker design in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

This version of the character will have a few differences from the traditional one that gamers and comic book fans are familiar with, as this version of the character is from what will be known as an ‘elseworld’also known as a multiverse, in which he is a much younger version of the character who has only just begun his villainous story but was eventually recruited to the Suicide Squad in that world.

Since this will be a younger version of the character, it is understandable that Rocksteady has chosen to avoid using Mark Hamill as the voice actor, as it is trying to create a new variant of the character rather than one that we are all familiar with. The only issue with this is that the gaming community is incredibly disappointed with this decision.

Along with the voice actor being different, gamers are also very let down by the design of the character, as they were more hoping for the classic Joker, which we have gotten used to from the Arkhamverse, but sadly, this version looks entirely different and will have a whole new set of tricks up his sleeve.

Why Is the Gaming Community Disappointed With This Design Choice From Rocksteady?

After the recent trailer, there have been a lot of comments on Twitter/X from the gaming community as they announce their opinions towards this new version of the Joker, and so far they are mostly negative, but there are those who are in support of Rocksteady’s decision.

If only Batman already had a villain had a villain which uses umbrellas, then they wouldn’t just have to put it on the Joker 🤔

At the moment, many members of the gaming community are focusing on the Joker’s design, but there are those who feel that his entire character is out of place. One comment that gamers have made is the fact that bringing the Joker back into the Arkhamverse so soon is just a poor decision on its own, as players feel that it has betrayed the ending toArkham City.

Another comment discusses how this version of the Joker is rather similar to the failed Jared Leto version, as it uses a more bizarre character design rather than the regular one that we are very used to seeing.

5 Times Veteran Devs Proved They Weren’t a One Trick Pony With Genre-Breaking Switchups

This game is going to be a complete disaster.

One major feature of the character that many gamers are complaining about is the fact that his traversal focuses on the use of an umbrella, which is more of a weapon of choice for the Penguin than the Joker. But until we know more about his story, we do not know why he has chosen to use an umbrella rather than some wacky joke present with a propeller or something.

What do you think about this version of the Joker? Are you looking forward to gliding around Metropolis with an umbrella and a pocket full of bombs? Let us know in the comments!
