In a recent poston the PlayStation Blog, a new State of Play event was announced for February 23. The upcoming showcase will feature the debut of five new PS VR titles coming later this year, as well as a 15-minute gameplay preview ofSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, among other third-party titles. The entire presentation is expected to last approximately 45 minutes, according to theJapanese PlayStation Blogand asreported by Gematsu.
The show is scheduled to stream onTwitchandYouTubeon Thursday at the following times: 1pm Pacific Standard Time, 4pm Eastern Standard Time, 9pm Greenwich Mean Time, and 10pm Central European Time.

Earlier this month, news reporter Jeff Grubbbroke the newsthat a major presentation would take place at the end of February, and also revealed that a larger presentation would take place before E3 this year. Sony is putting a lot of emphasis on PS VR 2 game development for 2023, with over 30 games scheduled for release on February 22nd (the VR console’s release date). In fact, 10 additional PS VR 2games were announced today alone, bringing the total to around 40 titles planned for this year.
In addition to thepreviously announced titles,at least three games will be available on launch day: the rhythm viking experience Ragnarock, the ’80s-inspired motorcycle racing game Runner, and the rock star guitar simulator Unplugged: Air Guitar. March will also see the release of several notable games, including the gladiatorial combat simulator Gorn and the VR soccer game Nock.
Later in the year, players can look forward to the narrative-driven game Another Fisherman’s Tale, the action-packed Hellsweeper VR, the space building simulator Startenders, the realistic sword fighting game Swordsman VR, and the anime-inspired adventure game Sushi Ben. It’s worth noting that Swordsman will be a free upgrade for the first three months for players who already own the PS VR version.
Among other interesting titles announced elsewhere, developer AMATA K.K. has revealed that the escape-the-room horror game Last Labyrinth will be availableon PS VR2 starting March 22nd, and for those who already own the game on PS VR and PC, an update will be available to play it without a VR headset. Additionally, survival horror Organ Quarter will beported to PS VR 2in the spring of 2023, according to the developer.
