Pinocchio’s live-action adaptation is one of the most awaited movies of the year, especially for those who had their share of the fictional character either through the original 1883 novel or through any of its other multimedia renditions. The upcoming movie is an adaptation of the 1940 animated film and will roughly follow the same story.

The live-action Pinocchio movie was given the green light way back in 2015, and after going through so many obstacles that ranged from casting, filming, and development, we are finally ready to watch this modern take on the beloved character made by the hands of the well-known director, Robert Zemeckis, best known for the Back to the Future trilogy, Castaway, and The Last Samurai. Initially, the movie was planned to get a theatrical release in cinemas. However, with all the complications thrown up by the Covid-19 pandemic, those original plans were scrapped and now the movie will now land on Disney’s streaming service instead.
The live-action Pinocchio movie is set to release onThursday, September 8th, 2022, onDisney Plus. There’s no official announcement regarding the movie’s release time for the streaming platform.
